The Bible says....That the love of money is the root of all evil. It does not say that you can not have money. In Fact, God has a plan for us to prosper which could include wealth. There is nothing in the Bible that says Christian should not have wealth. King David- a man after God's own heart- was wealthy. The bible says. Abram(Abraham) was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold,
Quotes from the Bible:
"The LORD makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. "
"Yet He is not partial to princes, Nor does He regard the rich more than the poor; For they [are] all the work of His hands.
The rich and the poor have this in common, The LORD [is] the maker of them all. "
"Do not curse the king, even in your thought; Do not curse the rich, even in your bedroom; For a bird of the air may carry your voice, And a bird in flight may tell the matter. "
"Now when evening had come, there came a rich man from Arimathea, named Joseph, who himself had also become a disciple of Jesus."
But Jesus also warns that it would be hard for a rich person not to be affected and become foolish. God has blessed people with money. Money is not the sin. The love of money is the sin. Wealthy people are to use the money that they have been blessed with for the Glory of God. The Bible also warns against flaunting wealth. This is what the Bible says.
"Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy."
