   If God keeps testing me and I keep failing, why keep testing?
   
   If God keeps causing me to endure unbearable tragedies in order to test my faith, and every time I FAIL, what is the point of continuing to put further tragedies upon me? Being omnipotent, does He not know, by now, that every time He does this I will lose my faith in Him? Is He just trying to goad me into cursing Him, so that I will be condemned forever?

   Why do you think god is testing you? Everyone goes through difficulties in life. Crap happens to us all.
   Stop trying to rely on god to fix whatever problems you are having. Do what you need to do to help yourself and your family. Prayer isn't going to work. Blame isn't going to work.
   If you cannot fix things yourself, then seek help from real humans and not some invisible sky daddy.

      Lela, I should have wrote this question in third person instead of first person.  I want to know why believers still hold on to this illogical concept. I don't believe in any divine entities.

      Your own beliefs are also a little mixed up to, I perceive:  "I am not a Conservative (far from it; after all I am a practicing Catholic)"  is a laughable contradiction.  It's like thinking a person who is Catholic is  not superstitious.

   You sound like an aspiring Atheist. Your capacity to reason should soon set in and you will be Atheistic.  It is the only reasonable path in life as  contrived fear and guilt are detrimental to the human mind.

      since you are an atheist, then GOD is not testing you. He has washed his hands of you and you are in the devils domain.  his purpose is to destroy you before you can get to Christ

      I think the point of the question is why would anyone keep believing in a god if it kept testing them over and over again. And of course, you will say that it is not god that is doing the testing. But you always forget that god can stop it and doesnt

      Charlie, I see that even though it is the 21st century, some people still need to hold on to ancient beliefs in imaginary phantoms, that are only within the pages of fairy tales.  Laughable but ultimately disturbing.
