Is it your own belief that your spirit existed in heaven before you became a mortal here on earth?

If you answer this question in the affirmative (and many will) perhaps based on the war in heaven after which one third of the heavenly host were cast from heaven and to earth, it might make sense to believe that you were one of the faithful who remained in heaven waiting for your turn at mortality.
Interestingly, in a comprehensive study of various Christian faiths (completed in 1959) only one of ten Christian religions which were studied believed that our spirits had an existence prior to our mortal existence here on earth.
Are you "returning" to be judged, or planning your first trip?

Yes, most definitely.  Jeremiah 1:5 in the bible makes it very clear that our spirits existed before we were born, so of course we will be returning to be judged.

Thanks for providing one of the scriptural references which apply.

Yes. We were all created in the image and likeness of God who is timeless.

I don't believe "church" dogma or doctrine.

My beliefs continue to evolve as I grow ever more humble and hungry for Truth.

I have been outside of this physical shell and seen the world with visual clarity my current, human eyes cannot match. I have allowed miracles into existence through the grace of God. And I have remembered past lives as countless as the grains of sand.

I have discovered wisdom hidden in the Bible, but know there is far more to discover.

The churches of man are physical things that do not know of the spirit. They follow Constantine and Justinian and know not Christ.

What precious and important experiences!  Do you know which of those are intended to be shared with others, when, and how?

I agree with Rod. We are part of God, we have always been and we always will be. We exist as dimensional beings and can actually feel other dimensions in our dreams. I had a sister soul who died on the Titanic.

This is an interesting notion. I just never even considered it with any seriousness. I have never even considered the death or birth of a soul/spirit except in fiction. It is comfortable to think that it resides solely in my body. But I am pretty convinced it can go extra-physical. I was certain of this with my own spirit. Then my wife and I had children. I have no problem with us creating the biological being. But the spirits of my children seem to be fully developed and alive even before birth. It is as though I know this through an extra sense, which I attribute to my own spirit.
I just do not perceive that as having a beginning and an end. Where these spirits reside before and after the hosting by physical being is beyond me but I presume they are not limited by time and place.
I am Christian and do not find any scripture which would dissuade me from my understanding. With no time constrictions all notions of before and after kind of fade away. "returning" would not be at issue for one's spirit never left anywhere. It would seem that the Bible is for man and not the spirit.

It is good for us to ponder and seek knowledge and understanding.  Got you thinking, didn't I!
