Suicide generally is a means to an end of an unhappy existence.
Many who end up committing suicide feel that there is no way to change the path they are on, and are left with no options that make life worth living under the way they would like to.
Suicides have increased due to the exposure to the troubles and tribulations that have been existing in the world, but thanks to the Internet, global news and people with an opinion that won't let things be, add to the "no way out" pressure that pushes people to take their lives.
Most of those who take the suicide path have been in a corner or slowly sinking into the abyss inside, even with no outward symptoms or tell-tale signs.
I feel for the families caught by this, but the only thing that I can say about it is that I hope the person has found peace and is in a better place than the pain and misery while they were here.
Do not feel sad for their passing, for we all will die and leave loved ones and friends behind.
What we can do is show support and be the helping hand for those who might be thinking that suicide is the ONLY way to end their pain.
Stopping them or preventing them is only prolonging their suffering. In many other cultures it is honorable for the person to not burden others and drag them into a personal hell.
I for one have contemplated it myself at many points in my life, however I have "lived through" the pain, I have also met many others who had the strength and those that aren't here today.
You can be a light guiding those who are lost in their own hells, but you cannot stop someone who has already died inside, its better to be a friend and listen, not judge others by a single standard of right and wrong.
