Is it true that a person's spiritual body/spirit can travel to places without him/her realizing it?

A friend of mine says she's often visited by the spirits of friends who are in need, including me. She said I came to her a few days ago at the same time I was having a problem with my family. But I didn't feel anything... I did remember that at that time, I was thinking of telling her about my situation.
So is it true, did my spirit actually visit her?
Why didn't I feel or experience anything spesifically?

It is possible, to travel in the Spirit, but the travel is dependent on God, man cannot automatically do this from himself. There have been occasions in Biblical texts that describe this.

Eze 37:1  The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley which [was] full of bones,

2Cr 12:2 I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven.

There is an illusion version of this called demon possession, where it seems that you are traveling in the spirit.

Your spirit has the ability to be where ever God through His Holy Spirit needs it to be.  For Example:
Your in the livingroom watching a movie, and you think to yourself, I want a coffee. You stand up and head for the kitchen, maybe ten steps what ever, but by the time you get there, you've forgotten why you were going there.

In those ten steps, for what ever the reason your spirit has been called away from you by God, so obviously, your body is doing it's thing walking to the kitchen, but your mind, your conscience, your spirit is not there with you so you can't remember why you are going to the kitchen.

You return to the livingroom, to your movie, then all of a sudden, you remember Oh Ya! I wanted a coffee. Your spirit has returned, and you go again and get your coffee.

My spirit has stood at the throne of God. I have had two girlfriends that lived halfway around the world and have visited them. I remember one instance. I had a girlfriend in Nigeria. Our spirits wer so closely linked.

One day she E-mailed me in the morning, and told me that she was laying in her bed with a bad headache, and suddenly I entered the room. I held her in my arms and stroked her fore-head and the headache disappeared.

I had just gotten up from bed, but during the night, I dreamed that she needed me, and I went to her.

She was laying in her bed with a bad headache from a bump on the head she'd received the day before, and as I held her in my arms, I rubbed her head, easing her pain.

Hope this helps you to see that your spirit can travel, it is a spirit.

    Respectfully,
    Brother Dave.

This is called astral projection.  Usually it takes place when the traveller is meditating or sleeping.  Your friend's description of what she experienced sounds more like a psychic ability she has to pick up projections from people she's close to from a distance.  This phenomenon is not unusual.  Mothers and siblings often know when their children or siblings are in trouble or having problems.  Usually, this confines itself to people you've been in close contact with for some time. (Generally cohabitating with them.)  It's probably not your spirit leaving your body that "visited" her.  It was likely just a small piece of your aura that she managed to acquire somehow that enabled her to feel your emotion.  Do you often feel drained or tired around this friend? If so, she may be a psychic vampire.  (someone who doesn't produce her own spiritual energy, but sucks it up from the people around her)  They are not extremely common, but the only time i've heard of this phenomenon outside of a cohabitive relationship is with psychic vampires.  Other signs of psychic vampirism; inability to be alone, takes on the same mood as everyone else around her, needs a lot of casual physical contact, and needs constant reassurance of their self-worth.  I'll write a hub about it if you'd like to hear more.

The answer depends on what you believe. Many will say with God anything is possible.

I personally believe that all of us have the potential to do anything. I have one question that I feel is most important in this kind of situation. Ask yourself when you can sit down and really give the answer a chance to come to you like prayer. Don't fight the answer. Let it come to you and accept it.

    "Do I believe -----?"

What is most important is not what others believe, but what you yourself believe to be true.
