   Ken, I know those that think we are fools will jump on this like gravy on rice. But i am not ashamed of my stand for Him, though I will NOT debate on any platform publicly.GRACE? UNDERSTAND HIS GRACE?For me, no.I am a believer, and I  am just as proud to say so as anyone. That does not make things totally understandable to me. I will never know the utter agony of calvary,but I know Christ could have come down from that bitter cross. He did not. We get mercy. Thank God we do not get what we deserve!Even to say His grace is mine makes me want to cry. I am nothing, but His love for humanity is unfathomable!Who can comprehend the love of God? None..

   easily. it has been understood since it was created many centuries ago. anything that we created can be fully comprehended. what i find strange is the excuse used in religion that "god is beyond our comprehension" . the concept of "god" is so simple that it almost seems incomprehensible.

   Please note: If the request was made in the body of the text of the author the discussion was limited to believers I would not be responding-unless I had a question about something someone said and was seeking clarification.  I have no problem with believers seeking private discussion. As it is an open forum the situation is different.
   
   There is no 'Grace of God' to comprehend.
   
   The concept of a Creator deity is so divorced from reality and is broken logic its only because of the Christians emotional needs they buy into the stone and bronze age rubbish.
   
   Y'all are more than welcome to your malevolent superstition.
   
   Several years ago a young lady had some observations about theism.  I'm aware they'll be promptly dismissed with a platitude or two.
   
   She wrote;
   
   What do I dislike about theism?...Let me count the ways...
   
   I dislike the hypocrisy,
   the corruption,
   the greed
   and the lies.
   I dislike the veneration of ignorance,
   the glorification of idiocy,
   the wild-eyed hatred of progress
   and the fear of education, which send the faithful shrieking,
   vampire-like, from the light of knowledge.
   I dislike the way in which prejudice
   is passed off as piety.
   The way superstition is peddled as wisdom.
   The way intolerance is raised to the lofty heights
   of "Truth".
   I dislike how hatred is taught as love,
   how fear is instilled as kindness,
   how slavery is pressed as freedom,
   and how contempt for life is dressed up and adored as spirituality.

   We only understand what he wants us to understand. As for the nonbelievers, I feel sorry for you. Still, I know how it feels to doubt religon itself. Sometimes you have to question your beliefs. Sometimes you understand them better when you do, but a lot of times it results in turning away from it completely.
