Does everything happen for a reason?

Is there such a thing as fate? Is there some bigger plan that guides all of our actions towards some unknown, ultimate outcome? Or, do things just happen, and there is no rhyme or reason as to why those things happened?

I think everything happens in our lives for a reason some things we don't even know about. Others we can reason out how it might have changed or  altered the coarse of our lives.

There is always a ryhme and reason for everything; chains of events will always lead to explanations, they just may not be satisfying answers.
I don't know that it is God behind all that happens. I think God knows, I think God has plans, but I believe God gave us freewill and, therefore, does not orchestrate all that happens.
I think of it this way. If God orchestrates everything, he orchestrates those who do and do not believe in him. If he orchestrates those who do and do not believe in him, humans are fated to believe. If humans are fated to believe, there was no need to introduce faith for humans to believe. God introduced faith, therefore, God does not orchestrate all things.

Yep yep for a reason and a season! I believe in it and looking back on my life it is pretty evident!!
Fate I don't believe in...you can make your choices and yet you will see the plan unfold!

There are certain decisions that i have taken based only on my intuition even when everyone told me it's wrong and have never once regretted it.  I still don't know if my life would've been better or worse if i had chosen a different path. But i am happy with the choices I've made and that's all that matters. So yes, I like to believe that everything happens for a reason known to almighty.

Fate, on the other hand is different. Fate is just a punching bag that man has created. Something on which we place all the blame if we went wrong. God doesn't pre-determine our fate. God gives us choices and gives us the power to control our lives.

things happen. it's that simple. i don't think anything happens for a reason unless it was planned.
