    The film 2012 was so pathetic and ridiculous, I don't see any scientific explanation for it to happen in real yet.

    I don't think the world will end, or that the date has any real siginificance. But I'd like to think something interesting might happen...aliens visit or someting...it would be nice to add some excitement to my droll life.

    Aliens would be kind of interesting, personally I would settle for a twenty four hour aura borealis now that would be cool to see. Oh and to answer the question just more Hollywood B.S. so no it's just a way for people to push whatever they are selling onto you.

    It's a calender that using the precession of the sun in it's long count!

    We are supposed to be in a mini ice-age right know - but with global warming, people aren't dying off in the cold as predicted.
