I think it is really unhealthy to think it is better to be feared. It is always better to have people truly appreciate and value you for who you are.

It is better to be feared.  Especially if you're an alien or a dinosaur.  That way you get a little bit of excercise chasing down your food or zapping the silly humans with your ray guns.

    .

There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.

The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Fear will only limit, its never productive and it never prospers.  Love never fails, its never in vain, it always hopes, it will always succeed.  I would much rather be loved.

It depends on your goal and the circumstance. While most might quickly pick that it is better to be loved, who wouldn't want to be loved, there are some instances where being feared could be the better option. Being feared might just save your life or at least scare off a mountain lion.

to be love is better,  to want to be feared is for self center people who have no love
