From God's Country to Devil's Playground - Will God still protect the large Cities in Texas ?
God’s Conditions of Protection for any City in the World
Of all the cities in the world that are mentioned in the Holy Bible there is none more important than Jerusalem. The very fact that Jerusalem is mentioned more than 800 times in the Bible makes it worthy of special attention. This unique city is the only one upon which God has bestowed His distinctive blessing and protection (Psm. 132:13-14), and the only city for whose peace we are commanded to pray (Psm. 122:6).
After decades of pleading with Israel to repent of its idolatrous rebellion, God pronounced through Jeremiah His reluctant judgment upon His city and upon His land (Jer. 25:3-11). Daniel referred to "the word of the Lord . . . to Jeremiah the prophet" that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem" (Dn 9:2).
The Lord Jesus Christ prophesied, “And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” (Lk. 21:24)
That Jerusalem would be "trampled by the Gentiles" has been a fact of history, exactly as the Lord Jesus Christ had foretold. The Romans under Pompey had captured Israel in 64 B.C. and held it into the fourth century A.D. In the seventh century Islamic invaders took control, to be replaced near the end of the eleventh century by the Crusaders. They held Jerusalem until Saladin (Sultan of Egypt and great Muslim warrior) retook the city in 1187. Later the Islamic Mamelukes of Egypt possessed Jerusalem. Then the Ottoman-Turkish Empire ruled for about 400 years. The Turks sided with Germany in World War I, so the Allied victors gave Britain a mandate in 1917 to administer the region. It was not until after the six-day war in 1967 that Jerusalem was recaptured by Israel.
There is no city on earth that God would protect more than Jerusalem, yet when Israel had rejected God’s commandments it was no longer safe and secured. There is no promise of God to protect any other city in the world.

God Protected Houston from Hurricane Rita by changing its Path after Christians Prayed
Following less than a month after Hurricane Katrina had devastated New Orleans another Category 5 hurricane named "Rita" formed in the Gulf of Mexico and had a projected path towards Houston.
On Tuesday September 20, 2005 "Forecasters said Rita could be the most intense hurricane on record ever to hit Texas, and easily one of the most powerful ever to plow into the US mainland".
That same day through email a special prayer request was sent out to all our Church members in Houston and also through the ARK Forum for Christians all over the world to pray for three things. (1) Weakening of the hurricane, (2) Changing the course of the hurricane to an area with no population, (3) No deaths and very little damage.
On Wednesday September 21, 2005 Hurricane Rita had developed into a Category 5 storm and was heading towards Houston/Galveston. Mayor Bill White had issued warning to Houston residents and advised them to evacuate. Millions of Houstonians jammed all the roads from the North to the west.
Most of our Church members stayed in Northwest Houston
Many Church members tried to leave Houston but got stuck in the traffic jam, so they assembled in the Lee family home in the Northwest of the city.
On Friday afternoon September 23, 2005 we saw and heard the Television News that Hurricane Rita had weakened to a Category 3 storm and had changed its path. Our family went to our son's home in Northwest Houston. In the evening we held a Bible Study. On Saturday we also held a Sabbath service. Praise and thank God there was not even a raindrop in our area.
God had changed the path of Hurricane Rita and spared Houston
God is merciful to the faithful Christians in Houston and answered our Prayers. Praise and thank our Lord Jesus Christ
God had answered our prayers. (1) Hurricane Rita had weakened (2) The course had been changed and Hurricane Rita made landfall on SabinePass, an uninhabited area near the border between Texas and Louisiana. (3) There were no deaths and little or no damage.
Prayer truly changes things. Glory and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, HalleluYah!
On September 13, 2008 Hurricane Ike devastated Galveston, Texas
What happened to Texas? Is Hurricane Ike a Warning from God ?
Texas Board of Education Rejects Creationist Phrasing in State Science Standards
In 2003 The Texas State Board of Education was considering 11 different textbooks for inclusion in the 2004-2005 school year. Fellows of the Discovery Institute (DI) testified to the Board that whatever textbooks are adopted should introduce statements on the "weaknesses of the theory of evolution" and include "competing theories, such as intelligent design." The DI had strong interest in the Texas debate because the state is the second largest purchaser of textbooks in the country. Thus any changes publishers make to cater to the state would likely be seen elsewhere.
On 21 January 2009 the Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) began a two-day hearing on proposed changes in wording to the state science standards. The revised standards being considered did not include controversial “strengths and weaknesses” language. An amendment before the Board that would have restored this language failed (7-7 vote). The removal of this language is a victory for science education advocates and is a defeat for the Biblical Creationism and Intelligent Design advocates in Texas.
In essence, Texas public high schools will no longer be able to strongly teach Creationism by the One True God as revealed in the Holy Bible. This is a great setback for Christians in the State of Texas.
Texas has degraded from God's Country to the Devil's Playground
Banned AshleyMadison.com Super Bowl ad makes its way into the Three Largest Cities in Texas
This degenerate corporation (AshleyMadison.com) targets troubled marriages and offers adultery options. NBC and the NFL formerly rejected the ad airing nationwide but many stations picked it up in Texas.
The ad (in short) featured a married couple "celebrating" their anniversary in a restaurant. A particular scene in the ad demonstrates that the husband is an insensitive mess. He shuts off his wife from speaking and moments later receives a cell phone call. He basically says "oops got to run" leaving his wife sitting alone bewildered, degraded and longing to be treasured by her husband but vulnerable - oh so very vulnerable.
The ad target such individuals.
AshleyMadison.com CEO Noel Biderman said he started the service in 2001, after reading that 30 percent of the people signing up for singles dating services were actually married.
“I thought, wouldn’t it be better to be honest about your status?” he said. “About 3.3 million members and tens of millions of dollars later, I think I was right.”
Today, the Toronto-based company is focusing on Texas because Houston, Dallas and San Antonio represent its fastest-growing markets.
“We’ve had close to a quarter-million members join in the past few months,” Biderman said.
Quoting: PR Newswire:
".. Determined to get his new commercial into the big game, AshleyMadison.com CEO, Noel Biderman, slipped under the radar and aired his new controversial ad in Texas of all places! Biderman specifically chose Texas to run his new female-targeted commercial because (as he so eloquently puts it) 'In Texas, men love their football and women love to cheat!'
According to Biderman, 'The effects of the current recession are so profound that many local stations were willing to accept Ashley Madison advertising dollars even in this post 'wardrobe malfunction' Super Bowl climate.' ...
Despite minimal efforts at advertising in the lone star state previously, Texas has steadily remained Ashley Madison's fastest growing market with over 200,000 members signed up to their Infidelity Service in just the past two years. As a result, AshleyMadison.com plans on spending millions in the state this year.
'In this current economic climate,' adds Biderman, 'Divorce isn't an option for many women who are stuck in unhappy marriages. We want them to know there's a service just for them. AshleyMadison.com'
The notorious site currently boasts over 3.2 million members with a new member signing up every 20 seconds. Ashley Madison went mainstream in 2008 when they began airing their previous commercial on CNN, ESPN, Fox News and MSNBC. This new commercial is the first time they've ever been allowed to advertise before 9 pm. ..."
Here are some of the promotional phrases found on Ashley Madison's webpage:
"Life is short have an affair."
"Join AshleyMadison.com for free and have an affair ... Guaranteed!"
"100% Guaranteed - The Ashley Madison Affair Guaranteed"
"Are you married but looking? Ashley Madison is the place for Married Dating."
Personal note in closing:
Just going on their website makes you feel dirtied. The background picture is of a man and a woman faded out in the background in a provocative, suggestive pose.

God’s Judgment has begun in Texas
“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God: ‘Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock.” (Deut. 28:1-4)
“And the LORD will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the LORD swore to your fathers to give you. The LORD will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.” (Deut. 28:11-12)

Texas is one of the Top Producers of Petroleum in the United States
Texas has known petroleum deposits of about 5 billion barrels (790,000,000 m3), which makes up approximately one-fourth of the known U.S. reserves. The state's refineries can process 4.6 million barrels (730,000 m3) of oil a day. The Baytown Refinery in the Houston area is the largest refinery America. Texas also leads in natural gas production, producing one-fourth of the nation's supply. Several petroleum companies are based in Texas such as: Conoco-Phillips, Exxon-Mobil, Halliburton, Valero, and Marathon Oil.
Hurricane Ike Affects Oil Industry
September 19, 2008 - 1:10 PM
WASHINGTON (AP) - The Interior Department says at least 49 offshore oil or natural gas production platforms in the Gulf of Mexico were destroyed by Hurricane Ike, and some may not be rebuilt.
It said in an assessment Thursday that the platforms accounted for 13,000 barrels of oil and 84 million cubic feet of natural gas a day. There are more than 3,800 production platforms in the Gulf producing 1.3 million barrels of oil a day and 7 billion cubic feet of gas a day. Most remain shut down.
The department also said five gas transmission pipeline systems sustained damage, although the extent of damage is not yet known. The report said it's too early to say whether there have been any oil spills.
The arrival of Hurricane Ike has shut down nearly 98 percent of the United States' Gulf of Mexico oil production, Interior Department officials said.
The hurricane also has socked 94 percent of the Gulf's natural gas production, the Washington Post reported Saturday. Along with Hurricane Gustav, it marks the second time in two weeks the Gulf region has virtually closed down its entire natural resources production pipelines.
By Friday afternoon, Ike forced oil producers to evacuate 596 production platforms, about 83 percent of the Gulf's total. For most of the past two weeks, more than 90 percent of the Gulf's production has been sealed off, the newspaper said.
"Ike couldn't have come at a worse time," Daniel Ahm, an energy economist at Lehman Brothers, told the Post. "Gustav had already ripped through with surprisingly little damage, but it is reminiscent of what happened with Rita and Katrina."
Oil industry analysts were also concerned about Ike's potential affect on Texas's massive oil refineries, where 23 percent of the nation's gasoline is refined. The refinery shutdowns could create near-term price hikes in gasoline and diesel fuel even as prices for crude oil remained weak, the newspaper said.
