      How did you do that?

Reading the HP political and religious forums I had concluded that there were approximately 3.1415926... people left in the world that could rationally analyze a question and provide an answer and here you found another whole person!

      Well done! big_smile

From the singularity.  From nothing.  From God's left nostril.

Who knows?  Not the scientists trying to unwind the ball of twine called "knowledge" and certainly not the priests of the world who bring forth an answer from their imagination and declare it to be "truth" without ever checking.

I'm still prone to the lab rat theory. Us, along with the other 99% of the species that are now extinct. big_smile

Could well be.  Young gods, given an assignment to find the minimum intelligence necessary to destroy themselves within a particular time frame.

Are we winning? big_smile  Will ours get an "A"?

I've noticed no theists have dropped by this thread. I guess they agree with the video...

About as much chance as being lab rats, I fear. smile

Poor things... I wish them well. Actually, I envy them. I mean, "knowing" that the Universe loves you is a pleasant way to live indeed.

No. It exists, but we can't find a reason why it exists, it just does.

The purpose of the universe is to be born, live. then die.

I like how at the end of the first Men in Black film they sum the universe up as a bunch of Marbles in an Alien's bag.
