Have you ever thought of what a potential life after death would be or feel like?

Depending on your own personal or religious beliefs, it may have crossed your mind before. What your idea of Heaven was, or your paradise and life after death.

I tend to try to stay in the present. Be here every moment and experience and enjoy it.

I can tell you that from what scripture says, heaven is another place as real as earth. Paradise, we still eat, sleep, drink and build "mansions". We have a mansion in the "New Jerusalem" and one in the country. No death, the lion lays with the sheep and there will not be thorns to step on ;-)

You quite sure about that? I think it lies with the sheep and doesn't go any further...   wink

What gives you purpose here?  What drives your to get up everyday and go about your tasks?  It's work!  No matter now much we complain about work it is the raw clay that builds us, gives us experience and progresses us.  It would defy reasoning to believe that heaven is all "grapes and bliss".  We are only truly happy when we have accomplished a work or abtained a status of purpose.  Heaven is no different.  There is work there.  A great work!  A fantastic work!  A work that, if we prove worthy, will progress us further to realms we cannot imagine.  Yes, we will be relieved from this worldly care - but in exchange for a higher state of being and responsibility.  Just like the millenium.  It will not be heaven but will be a higher state of being and social structure than what we experience now.  The millenium, too, has a great work awaiting that must be accomplished and it will give us purpose, joy, sorrow, experience and ultimately progression.
