Mmmmm, it has been so refreshing to have spent the weekend around people who don't even *consider* the silly idea that the Bible is infallible. Talk about a reality check

I certainly don't think you are actually talking to me, as you posted. I have no religious belief or religion, so YEAH the bible is a failure of answers. Or even facts for that matter.

this thread has lost its way.

the original poster implied that "non believers" think they know everything when it actually, in my experience, has been so-called non-believers who accept that they do not know everything and spend their whole lives examining and questioning everything, including their own belief systems, whereas alleged Christians believe one way only and accept it as right no matter how much evidence there is to the contrary, which is fine if you want to be that way, but don't get your knickers in a knot just because someone comes along to question or even dispute it.

    1. Cagsil profile image71
Cagsilposted 14 years agoin reply to this

Dispute it.....it's all lies to begin with. Nothing to dispute, but you are right, the thread is so far off track it's not funny, but we still have some people who claim 'bible' as fact and want to prove to us non-believers that we don't know everything because we don't worship some false god.

      lol lol

I find it ironic, that there are people who believe in a mystical god, thinking they themselves have all the answers, when the truth is that they are worse off than most others.

      lol lol

cosetteposted 14 years agoin reply to this

well i just have to ask: why is it when believers question secular things, they are just trying to get information but when "non-believers" question religion they are the anti Christ and should go straight to hell and do not pass Go?

        1. marinealways24 profile image58
marinealways24posted 14 years agoin reply to this

Because religion doesn't like individual minds. It contradicts the religions mind.

You know......what's good for one is good for all?

However, the wealth get away with usurping power from those who don't know any better and can circumvent law(s), while others are held to a different standard.

                  Does that help?

Here is some more child love from the glorious book!

From there Elisha went up to Bethel.  While he was on his way, some small boys came out of the city and jeered at him.  "Go up baldhead," they shouted, "go up baldhead!"  The prophet turned and saw them, and he cursed them in the name of the Lord.  Then two shebears came out of the woods and tore forty two of the children to pieces.  (2 Kings 2:23-24 NAB)
