On the news this morning they said that all terror attacks here in the US are not given the exposure in the news.  They said that the only ones that get exposure are from Al-Quida and Muslim/Islam.  There were 2 attacks last week that didn't get exposure because they did not meet this criteria.
This certainly is a Religious War!  Wake Up people!

If it were old ladies from Pittsburg who were the leading threats to terrorist attacks I would hope we would scrutinize old ladies from Pittsburg. The fact that the majority of terrorist threats come from an identified group - we should utilize the information to protect from terrorist attacks.
Where is the information on the 2 other attacks?

But you know, the media will cover what will get the ratings. That's it. Just like a while back when all these little blonde girls got abducted etc.. I'm sure there were plenty of other kids being taken too.

I caught the blurb about it on the Channel 7 ABC News this morning.  They didn't elaborate on it.

      I agree.

And it has been a, "holy war", "Jihad", since being procliamed by Bin Laden and all the other Isalmic terrorist groups and individuals, close to two a decades ago.

If not a whole lot longer than that.

That's not what the guy you're quoting was referring to...... the real "Jihad" (used in the Western media sense) is backed by the Mellon/Scaife family (among others) and utilizes men and women wearing American flags on their shoulders....

Yep and these two accounts that were not reported in the news happened just last week.  The one was a white supremist and I forgot what the other one was.

This despicable tactic has been used throughout history.  Divert attention from the real problems by scape-goating a group of people who are considered to be expendable.  An ignorant culture, (in this case the disciples of the Neo-conservatives) is whipped into a violent frenzy with hateful rhetoric and time-tested, formulaic hate speech.  "Your problems will disappear once we conquer and subjugate the: (pick your favorite - Jews, Muslims, Africans, Turks etc.)

There is a difference between being prejudiced and being aware of factors increasing a risk.  In my eyes it is wrong to not utilize the information to protect people. We have "profiled" smokers, drunk drivers, obesity, etc as at risk health behaviors to get help. A threat to life is a threat to life.
I wouldd not like to be at risk on a flight when the risk could be reduced. It is apparent they consider me to be expendable even though I have done nothing to them. Wanting to reduce their capacity to succeed is reasonable.

The greatest problem with that kind of thinking comes from using the term "them".  Being Muslim or dark-skinned does not increase your liklihood of being a terrorist.

You cannot live a risk-free life, you can live a just one.

The sad fact is it is all over these Hb Pages and it about and alive and well in the Religious forum.  I seen it on one of my hubs too.  It is chaotic to say the least.  People say things like Why can't we just get along....well the answer to that would be to go within for that answer.  Who sits up in whereever it is and dictates who we are for or against and what is truth and what isn't and what gets published and what does not---a select few I can tell you that---and for what reason--so that they can watch everyone go nuts.  They have the control becasue........we give them it.  We are too lazy or mis-informed to speak up and when we do--all hell breaks loose on that person.  Been there and done that and still am!
So those who are using us like pawns should think twice now that the cat is out of the bag........2012 an end-- Ha! hardly, more like a beginning of the people's getting their rights back.

Let me review this, you heard a blurb re. attacks. This was not technically a news story since a credible news story has the 5Ws of news. How do we know that this blurb was the 'truth'? I find this questionable, since a credible B. J. would not do a blurb, but verify that his/her source was credible, the discourse/information presented correct, then report the material in a nonbiased manner. However, it seems unbiased news no longer exists. Presently it has to do with ratings. All 'Suppliers' of news regardless of their political stance now engage in distribution of ??Propaganda. They will make an announcement to increase viewership (is that a word, is now), to incite and so forth, knowing full well that in a few hours, when they announce that the news story in question was in error, few people will note it. Once a rumor (however inaccurate) is started, it cannot be quashed. Also, when did people have rights?? Always question what you are being told?
