Anyone else see "Pint sized Preachers?" on NatGeo? On tonight in Oz.

I know some pentecostals are as mad as whistling kettles, but these loons have had their child on utube as a preacher when he was ONE year old.

Listening to the child (now 4 years old) rant like a lunatic and scream in to a microphone to the congregation is enough to upset any parent with more than half a working brain.

The series is shown without judgement from the narrator.

    It doesn't need to be.

It is an indictment on a whole society that allows this type of psychological abuse of children and is one of the sickest things I have seen.

Of course the usual desperately ill and gullible are all being "cured" by this child and many others, so there is a lot more damage being done as well as the direct damage to the children themselves.

10 years in jail for the parents would be my solution to this sort of insanity.

The show should be compulsory viewing in my opinion.
    What do you think?

....same little guy from your earlier thread

i noticed he said "he wants the money what you give him"......that just summed it up for me.....

"Follow their parents and caretakers as they prime their children for the spotlight — do they really believe their young sons could be saviors, or are they motivated by something else, like potential fame and fortune?" ....hmmmm..............................

I'm not sure about compulsory viewing though Earnest - yes, folks should know, but some will not have the same view of it and send in money........

    ....later gater.....

Well, it is now later. smile They showed a whole mess of these fanatics, some in other countries as well, and I guess some will send money as you said.

One of the kid's grandmother was charged with fraud, so naturally she is the appointed mentor.

      Very sick stuff.

It's sad that some adults use those kids to commit fraud if they did...

At the same time, I'm not gonna say that all those little "preachers" are just parroting preachers they've heard, although some of them could be.  I do think they need time to mature before they're licensed and etc.
I didn't watch the show on tv, just googled and saw a couple of clips.  I think there's potential that some of them may grow up to become awesome preachers.  But they need to be born-again and have enough maturity to interpret and discern for themselves, because I saw one of them who was parroting the Pentecostal doctrine seemingly to say that's the only way....

Hey earnest---it's NatGeo!  I thought you believed everything NatGeo showed (remember the "rivals of Jesus" shows?)  Or was that the History Channel?.....

I saw that, I watch all the religious documentaries as well as the science ones.
There is new information constantly emerging through the newer sciences. smile
You may be right about where it originated, I don't recall. smile

Well, I have one more thing to say about the pint-sized "preachers".

At the very least, they've been taught to respect their parents, it would seem.  Not bad.

Yes he has respect for his parents, who deserve no respect.
The reason is obvious. They had him preaching on utube the first time at ONE year of age.
      Indoctrination much? smile

Like I said, it's better than letting a kid cuss and carry on like a heathen, which I've heard people doing,   and heard first-hand accounts of from reliable sources.   And as said, I think all kids need to be kids first and be taught right, instead of allowing them to be the authority figures.

My children don't cuss or carry on like heathens whatever that means these days. I would have thought screaming instructions to adults when you are one year old may be "heathen." smile

I watched a TV documentary, which followed child preachers in the US.  One, from the Bible Belt was taken to New York City by his father to preach on street corners.  The majority of his preaching concerned the hell which was awaiting homosexuals.  This turned the public against him, who ended up shouting abuse at the child.  It was obviously a great shock to him, as he had only ever experienced support from his local church before.  The distress of the boy was obvious, and I felt it was cruel for his father to have put him through this experience.

His father has made a mistake that could eventually lead to one less homophobe. smile

Umm....Do you put any blame on the public which shouted abuse at the child?

Not at all. Why would I object to someone setting a homophobe straight.
Hate talk about minorities is not nice, and your average joe in the street knows that.

I wonder if they preached the gospel according to earnesthub, then they would be accepted by him.  Kill them where you find them, utterly destroy those that disagree with you, do as I say not as I do.

Why would you think anyone would believe that about me?

I have never made those types of statements.

      Lies for jesus?

Totally without morals and gutless to the core.
Thanks, another fanatic blows their cover.

I know how you operate now.

I can't believe you don't even remember what you post.  Nearly every time someone starts talking about Jesus, you start quoting scriptures that quote to kill people and destroy them then call God a homicidal maniac.  This is your gospel or the gospel according to earnesthub.

You cannot deny it.  Calling me a liar doesn't erase your words.  Mocking me or anyone else does not negate your words.  You talked about how your children do nit curse, or was it your grandchildren?  I wonder what they would think if they read what you write here?

What I write here is very little.

What I DO here is repeat verbatim the terrible word you base your "truth" on.

It is clear as a bell that I don't agree with the psychotic crud written in the OT, or the condescending crud of the NT either.

All you have done with this latest post is compound the lie and show that you are willing to be deliberately dishonest and will go so far as to twist reality to fit your needs.
Sorry, I have your measure even if you don't. lol

You just showed yourself to be guilty.  Let your children preach your gospel if they want but leave other parents to raise their own children.

it is actually very simple.  Stay out of their business, they will stay out of yours.

My children won't be hearing any gospel from me as you well know.
              More lies for jesus?

No they won't stay out of my business any more than you can be honest on a forum.
Why don't you religionists ever tell the truth?
