Yoga is one of the best ways to find God. That's it's entire purpose. Do a little research. Yoga isn't about stretching or getting in shape. The whole point is to get into a state of meditation where you can ultimately reach enlightenment. Especially Hatha Yoga.

There are many ways to reach enlightenment and their all on an individual basis. But enlightenment isn't realy so much a spiritual thing, as much as it is a realization, one that can be found by examining the self.

Elightenment comes when one is not actively seeking to be enlightened.

I know someone who thinks that someone who says they're Christian and does yoga isn't a real Christian. I asked why and she said because yoga is part of the Buddhist religion. I thought that was interesting and kind of overreacting. With or without beliefs I think yoga can be a healthy relaxing activity.

Martial arts are basically yoga in motion.

Yoga is a religion in exactly the same way as jogging is a religion.

Shaolin Kung Fu is a descendant of yoga, this would mean that no one way is a way to enlightenment. One does not need yoga or kung fu to reach enlightenment, only a desire to be in contol of one's own brain, so that the one can see reality as it truly is.
