It is my intention, as I have found some consistency but not enough to satisfy, to find the true names for my Father and my Saviour and understand the different ones that have come about. Whether they be interpretations or mis-constructions.
As of now, I'm fairly sure Yahweh is the correct name for the Father, and have recently read Yahshua to be my Saviours name, which I read means "Yahweh is Salvation."
I could, and do when praying call Him Father, as He knows who I am and my name, and He knows who I'm speaking to. Him.
Same with Christ, my Messiah. But, as I believe highly in reverence to my Lord and my God I would like to dig deeper to find my roots in the Person I love most. My life giver and sustainer.
If anyone knows anything and has resources I can reference, I would love to search valid sources. And to discuss them as well.
I spent a year or two studying Hebraic Roots, it was interesting, even ended up keeping Shabbat and almost changed my name to Yoahnnes, but finally came to the conclusion that as God knows my every thought, He knows when I am addressing Him.
I also stand that God has provided all we need in the bible we read, and that with a simple dictionary, we can understand what is written.
But you will have fun and find out a whole plethora of interesting stuff, especially when you realise the significance of the Jewish festivals to modern Christianity.
Jesus addressed Father God as "ABBA" a Hebrew word that translates to "Father".
The Old Testament also refers to God as "Jehovah" The eternal one and "Jehovah-Jireh" Jehovah will provide, along with a few others.
I use "ABBA"
As for Jesus, the most loving and respecting term I honour Him with is "My Brother". Since ABBA is my father, what other term could I posibbly use for Jesus than , Brother.
Th Old Testament has many names for Him.
Each one expresses one of His traits, or characteristics.
In that sense, it clarifies the fact that He is All Sufficient to supply us with any needs we have.
He is Healer, Saviour, Supply, Peace, Love, etc. Therefore He has these names.

The teaching that the New Testament was originally written in the Greek language is not only false but deceptive. The Hellenization of the Church not only produced a corrupted New Testament, but caused a Greek deity to...
