How do you know you're not just a soul, wrapped in a meat sack?

I thought it was a silly way to ask the question... How do you know if you have a soul? Wouldn't that just be an imposed meaning for animus?

That's exactly what I believe!  My step Mother refers to our bodies as "Earth Suits" and I agree.

      Nice thread...amusing smile

Considering what animus is defined as, that is an open ended question.
If using the term through Jungian terminal psychosis, then you have to explain why men and women both feel the need to transform their outer selves into the opposite genders, while maintaining a large portion of their original hormonal and regulatory (genetic) method of thinking.

An abstract example of animus could be the da Vinci mind.

Going further, Carlos Castaneda would explain to you, in depth, why a person is haunted by "that unconsciousness which we are ever so conscious of".
