When we help others we gain the gift of happiness

Here is a simple easy way to get free gifts.

“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” (1 Peter 4:10 NIV)

Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2 NIV).

We have all been given gifts from a gracious and loving Father in Heaven. Maybe you are a good listener and can help others through trying times. Maybe you are good with children and can serve in the church Sunday School Class. Whatever your gifts have been, they were not given for you to put in the closet. They were given to you to enrich others lives. So get out there and start using those gifts. You know what? When you use those gifts a special gifts will be given to you. A gift of appreciation. A gift of feeling fulfilled in your life. Not only that, but, when you need help, you will be surrounded by people who love you and care about you. They can’t wait to help you. Your life will be filled with love and happiness. Those are the greatest gifts you can share and to have given back to you.

I have seen selfish self centered people in seniors homes. They usually sit all alone in a corner crying to themselves. What a pitiful what to finish your life on earth. I have seen kind, loving people in their later years in seniors homes. They are constantly surrounded by family and friends caring for them. Doing things to make them happy. The staff is extra nice to them. Their final years are filled with the blessing of love poured back on to them, that they so unselfishly spent their years pouring out to others. My gifts is for always finding simple ways to make others happy. I like to always say good morning and please and thank you. I will share a special secret with you, using your manners opens many doors for you. Many times when we are in a restaurant I may polite with the waitress and joke around with them and make them feel special. When our orders arrive, my servings are always bigger than my friends. I do not expect that, but when they do I make an effort to leave a little gift for them. You should see their eyes light up the next time we go there for a meal. I like to joke around with people and make them laugh. At the same time they know when they have problems they can always come to me for a caring and sympathetic ear to listen to. I like to encourage people. My life is a very happy life. How is yours?

Prayer: Thank you my gracious and loving Father for all the wonderful gifts you have so generously given me. Thank you as well for all the opportunities you have given me to use those gifts to enrichen the lives of those around me. I pray You open the eyes of those reading this to their special gifts and provide them with the opportunities to use them as well. In Jesus’ special name I pray. Amen.

May the sunshine of Jesus’ sweet love bless you today and every day.
