Keeping Christ in Christmas and Your Heart
I am very pleased to hear those today who are pursuing their spiritual desires.
first and foremost, "religion" or "conversion to a religious
organization" is never as important as the personal relationship you
develop with Jesus Christ. Jesus is God incarnate in the form of a human.
Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. He is alive today, just as you and I are alive. You do not see Him, just like you don't see me. Yet you believe I exist because you are reading this blog.
Jesus was killed in His earthly body over 2000 years ago. 3 days later he overcame that death, and He is alive NOW at this moment. He gave us an everlasting living book on how to Live. It is called the Bible. It is His Guide for us to help us find Him. He has not sent you a blog, but along with the instruction book [ the Holy Bible] He has placed in your heart the desire to seek Him out. This is done through His Holy Spirit!
John 14:17-- "..the Spirit of truth. The world cannot accept him, because it neither sees him nor knows him. But you know him, for he lives with you and will be in you."
Dear reader His Spirit is already in your Heart. He knew you before you were ever conceived!
1:14--"The Word became flesh and dwelt among us. We have seen His
Glory, the Glory of the One and Only One who came from the Father, full
of Grace and Truth."
John 14:6--"Jesus said to him[Thomas], "I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.
John 8:32-- "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
One must have full faith that Jesus is the only way to Eternal Salvation. Sure there are thousands of "religions" but it is our duty to "sift the chaff from the wheat". The Wheat makes the bread of Life, and it gives us a relationship with God that no church or religion can give.
Your personal experience with God is just that: Personal and a Living Experience. No theology or philosophy can take the place of that relationship. It is not "head" knowledge that moves us to salvation but a "Heart Felt personal relationship with the Living Jesus"
This Christmas season as we celebrate the Joy of the Birth of our One Savior and Lord, Jesus, please continue to keep Him in your heart.
English camp Moscow
Hi Will here with an update of the journey to Moscow.
We arrived with the group yesterday and went directly to work unloading all the props and equipment for our presentation.
Met all the group members and some members of the Russian support group
The students will arrive Temorrow around lunch. Today we went over the schedule with John and Ginny. It is a very busy schedule and there is much to do.
The students are from high schools in Moscow. Here they dont really have HS names just numbers.
We started a morning prayer walk for encouragement and group fellowship. Of course, What is most on our minds a lot was the Metro [subway] terrorist bombing Monday just before our group arrived from Florida
We worked late last night setting up some of the equipment and assembling tables and shelves for the stage and program presentation.
I will keep folks updated and post some photos when I get a link with more bandwidth.
Thanks to all those folks supporting us. God Bless to all
Ekatinsburg, Russian MP Shelter
Easter Sunday started for me with the daily prayer walk. Not many showed showed that day. Others were mostly sleeping after the Midnight mass celebration of Easter at the local Orthodox Cathedral. It was a moving service filled with Russian Tradition, icons and ceremony such as the singing, Chanting, bell ringing and candle light worship. The highlight of which was the procession of all present around the cathedral holding a lit candle which had started is
with a light from the Orthodox High Priest and continued in a chain reaction effect in the crown culminating in a Hugh candle light service
We left English Camp after re-loading all the equipment and materials used in the various productions. There were two truck loads of some very heavy equipment.
He group loaded up on a large tour type bus with the folks from Kentucky and a few of the local people who live in Moscow year round. Most were volunteers, one was the wife of the project director for Avenura . It took us about an hour and 30 minutes to reach the north east metro terminal that would take all but us folks from Florida back to their hotels of destination places.
Our group remained on the bus to the Gama Hotel across from the famous Moscow outdoor market. There we dropped off the extra bags we could not take to Ekatrinburg and the took the Green Line Metro to the station Belarusa near where I stayed with my Host Family for a week.
Upon arrival we went to the Metropolis mall one block away. Here the team ate mostly American food while I had an ice tea and headed for the Internet café[ 50 ryb for 30 minutes[ with very slow speeds.
After the allotted time we went back to the same Metro]green] and rode it to the end of the line Rizhski Vozkal and there caught the155 local bus to terminal D at Sheramatova airport.
We had arrived at the airport around 11 30 Pm and out flight left at 1 05 AM. It took us most of the time with passports, checking a few bags and the gruesome Security inspection. We boarded a nice modern Aerpflot SU 330 airbus to Ekarinsburg, Arrival was on time two hours later, thought due to Russia having 11 time zones and they had just lost 2 that very week, we arrived in Ekatrinsburg at 5 00 AM Monday morning.
We were greeted by Igor and Ivan with a large van and Igor’s own car.
Another hour of driving and we finally arrived in the Shelter.
Needless to say we all were looking for a bed. We had tea and cakes and hit the sack,
Around 11 15 me Joe and Andrew the other two males of the group were roused up for “Brunch” Soon after Addie laid out or plans for the day.
Addie, Christie, and sisters Chantal and Gabby got in the van with Igor and Nastashia and headed for the streets. The source of the members in the Shelter, and the location of many, many other homeless people.
The people who receive food and some clothing live under ground in the central hot water heat duct system. For years the Soviets have maintained a system where they build large central heated water systems that serves a large number of buildings in a specific area. It is efficient in that there is only one source of heat for the buildings and it eliminates duplication of multiple heating systems for each building. The down side is that there is one central control for the heating of, say a thousand flats, and there is no individual control for ones particular flat.
As far as the people we are helping, they find ways to “break Into” these duct systems and the are able to stay out of the extreme cold. However, these are dangerous places where many bad people hang out, so it is never safe to live there. Another point is that it is very unsanitary. Most of the people we saw were sniffing glue and other strong solvents like lacquor and Urethane to get high. On our arrival so many of these people emerged from out of thin air knowing that the mission was there to provide food and clothing. Within minutes after arrival we were surrounded by young boys and some older men, two younger women and on this day two Gypsy women who were the mothers of about 5 of the boys.
I brought some baseball hats that were donated by my wonderful Selah Bible Study Group. The kids were so excited that they were getting the hats and food. Look at the faces here and it is heartbreaking to know that this may be the first time they have smiled in a long time. At first it is depressing to see the conditions they live in, then you feel you are really making some small difference in the changing the hopelessness of their lives. They ate up the soup we provided and devoured the bread. This is one of the best meals they probably get all week. Please Praise God for the tireless efforts of the volunteers who do this week in and week out. We asked Igor and his wife how they were able to do this and see the same people over and over and see that their lives are not really making a permanent change. They told us that if they can help even a few survive and have the Hope of God that He will improve the live of just one then they have fulfilled their mission. I have never seen such an unselfish love for others as I have seen at this mission. And it is true that some do come to the shelter and their lives do change, So there is always Hope and the Love of God that this work will make a difference.

Because of their generosity we are able to begin a detailed study subtitled " An Essential Guide For new Christians". This book is written by Ralph W. Neighbors, Jr. It is day-by-day walk with God. It starts out by explaining he five truths of the Cristian Faith.
I will distribute to those who are or have made a commitment to Christ and I encourage each of you to tell your friends about our study and to share this message.
Since I am leaving Friday to work with Mission Possible in Moscow, Loreta will help guide you through the reading. You can preview the chapters and get a feel for the material. When i return on the 10th after Easter, we will use the Lithuanian Language Bible to study the passages cited in the Student Survival Kit.
Loreta and Vytautas will try again Sunday to log into the FBC Crosspoints server so you all can see the service. The past 2 Sundays there was a problem in Florida getting access because a third party server was out. Those from Kauno technikos kolegijia can explain to the others. All we know is that it did not work but it was not a Lithuanian problem. Pray that it works this week.
Please pay particular attention to the 'Five & Five Principle in Witnessing' . Besides the early chapters about what you will experience as a new Christian this is key to becoming a mature member of the Body of Christ. This is Moklykla but on a basic level. No tests except your self test with your savior Jesus.:)) Paliama Jums!

Florida Court Sets Atheist Holy Day! Gotta love this Judge!
FLORIDA COURT SETS ATHEIST HOLY DAY
In Florida , an atheist created a case against the upcoming Easter and Passover Holy days. He hired an attorney to bring a discrimination case against Christians and Jews and observances of their holy days. The argument was that it was unfair that atheists had no such recognized days.
The case was brought before a judge.. After listening to the passionate presentation by the lawyer, the judge banged his gavel declaring, "Case dismissed!"
The lawyer immediately stood objecting to the ruling saying, "Your honor, How can you possibly dismiss this case? The Christians have Christmas, Easter and others. The Jews have Passover, Yom Kippur and Hanukkah, yet my client and all other atheists have no such holidays."
The judge leaned forward in his chair saying, "But you do.. Your client, counsel, is woefully ignorant."
The lawyer said, "Your Honor, we are unaware of any special observance or holiday for atheists."
The judge said, "The calendar says April 1st is April Fool’s Day. Psalm 14:1 in The Bible states, "The fool says in his heart, there is no God." Thus, it is the opinion of this court, that, if your client says there is no God, then he is a fool. Therefore, he already has a day.. April 1st is his day. Court is adjourned."
You gotta love a Judge that knows his scripture!
Helping Get Message of Hope in Eastern Europe
Hi for the past 5 years I have been visiting former Soviet Block countries and spreading the Word of God that has been absent for the past 50 + years. I find the people are open and eager to learn about God and His desire to have a personal relationship with them.
This is a very foreign concept here. Most places I visit are dominated by Roman Catholic thinking which is solemn and stoic, I am not here to attack Catholicism, I am only here sharing the Word of God in an open forum to all who are eager to Know God Personally.
Some of my tools are the Bible, any edition or version will do. Catholics are quite surprised to find out what this big book really says. I will open their Bible or the New Standard Roman Catholic Bible and read from it, and they look quizzical and in unbelief of what is in the Word.
It is a great tool, and it is fun to watch the expressions and reactions to books like Proverbs, The Song of Solomon and I Corinthians. People are astonished.
Another tool I use is XEE, or Extreme Evangelism. This is a course developed by Dr James Kennedy of Fort Lauderdale ,Florida. People just love the stories and relational material which drives them to really having a personal encounter with Jesus for the first time in their life.
I like to use "Experiencing God" too because it is a well written book of practical and easy to understand personal encounters with God. Mr Blackaby and His son tell it like it is. They demonstrate in many ways how God is at work all around us, but we just have to tune in and listen.
On this trip I am concentrating on college students in Kaunas , Lithuania. I have also visited Siauliai and many villages in and around these two cities.

Reject Inferiority and Insecurity Accept God's Word and Life to the Fullest
I just finished a really good book by Steve Foss " SATAN'S Dirty Little SECRET". In it Steve
tells us a lot about the Fall of man in the Garden of Paradise. He points out that there
are two main sources or 'roots' of sin, and these are Insecutity and Inferiority. We look
at our neighbor and ask why he or she has a laarger home of newer car. We are insecure
though we already own a nice car and live in a fine house. Yet we feel inferior in this
society when we encounter anyone who has more material things than we have.
In today's reading psalm 50, God mearly asks us for what is His."14Make thankfulness your
sacrifice to God,and keep the vows you made to the Most High.15Then call on me when you
are in trouble, and I will rescue you,and you will give me glory.”
It is not easy for us to be thankful when we are "coveting" our neighbors things. Therefore,
we must spend our time wisely Praising God and giving Him Thaks for all He has givn us.
We come into the world naked and with nothing. All that we have comes to us from God, He
alone is the Giver of all we have. It is on loan to us while we are hear. Even the air we
breathe comes from His Grace: the Giver of Life.
In this book Mr Foss examines Genesis 3:1-6. He points out that the Devil planted a seed of
Inferiority into Eve's mind. "The very first step of Satan was to call into question the
Word of God."Satan led Eve to believe God was keeping something from her that would make
her know as much as God and she would then not feel less than or inferior to Him. Thus Satan
convinced her that God was not telling the truth about the tree. Satan made her desire
that one tree and forget about being thankful for all of the other trees and bounty God
provided to Adam and Eve throughout the rest of the Garden.
The lie of Satan planted doubt in Eve's mind. Doubt led to questioning the Word of
God. That in turn led to a burning desire to Test God by believing the lies of Satan over
the primise and abundant life given to us freely by God.
So next time you see your friend with the bigger home, nicer clothes or newer car, turn
around and make a mental check-list of all God has given you. Then thank God for what you
have and don't be deceived by Satan into believing that God is keeping something from you.
Remain secure in what you believe and what you have.
Thank God that He gives all we need; not all we desire.
Asking For God's Help
God most assuredly comes to many of us in times of critical need. I was an Air Traffic Controller for 10 years, and one of our monthly assignments was to listen to the transcripts and read the reports from NTSB [National Transportation Safety Board].
These were always the raw, unedited tapes of the cockpit and/or final pilot to controller conversations; not what is released to the public.
What always struck me most were the painful pleas and calls for mercy and the last minute cries for help from God. However, my general experience with both pilots and controllers was that were a group who felt most in control of their lives. Many did not seem to need God. Many I knew were not practicing Christians. I was guilty of the same lack of faith at that time in my life. I had been trained to rely on my knowledge and experience to get me out of any situation. I was an invincible pilot and controller. In short, an egomaniac that provided all the air under my wings that I needed.
Yet month after month I listened to these audio transcripts, an heard “cool”,” tough” “self-motivated”,” self actuated” people cry and plead for mercy from God. These were from what I could tell, people doing things their own way. Many of us are like that, our society teaches us to be independent, self motivated, and the makers of our own destiny. It is what we put on resumes if we want a strong leadership position. It made me start to wonder if there was something about God that people instinctively knew deep inside; or were driven to in time of great crisis. What could be a worse crisis as when you are spinning out of control and the ground is coming at you and you suddenly have no way to stop it.
I have two main impressions of those many tapes I listened to over the years:
One-- as Pastor Larry Thompson says , in times of deep trouble we seek first GOD. At the last minute we give in and say my life is no longer in my hands, I will ask God. Perhaps those folks are remembering a time from childhood where they sang a Gospel song; or a mother or Father or Sunday School teacher shared the power of God with them. I don’t know. Personally, I believe God instills His Spirit in the hearts of all and it is up to us to act on His desire to save each of us to be with Him for eternity. We have but to say a few words: Acts 16:31 “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved-you and your household.”
John 14:6 “I am the way, the truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except
Two-- knowing the end is at hand we reach out to express the love that perhaps we could not fully express when we “Knew” We were in control. I have come to learn late in life that Love is so very important and the relationship of Love is linked with our Love for God. Matt 22:36- “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the law. 37 Jesus replied,” Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul and with all your mind.38 this is the first and greatest commandment.39 And the second is like it:” Love your neighbor as yourself. 40 All the Law of the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” Further, I Corinthians, “Three things will last forever--faith, hope, and love--and the greatest of these is love.”
I once listened as a Lear Jet captain fell from the sky unable to control his plane tumbling uncontrollably nose over tail above the Gulf of Mexico” Please, please God don’t let me go this way. Tell my Mom I love her and …..” end of tape.
Please don’t let your tape end this way. Acknowledge God now, and show the Love you feel deep in your heart to everyone you encounter, especially those in your close relationship circle, wife, children parents family members. Build Love relationships; not walls of Isolation.
