Important Signs indicate our Lord Jesus Christ is Returning Soon
The Two Generations referred to by the Lord Jesus Christ
"Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." (Mt. 24:1-2)
There are two questions that the Disciples asked the Lord Jesus Christ.
"Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?" (Mt. 24: 3)
The first question concerns when the temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed. The second question concerns the sign of the Lord's Second Coming.
In the whole discourse in Matthew chapter 24 the Lord Jesus Christ gave answers that apply to the two generations. The First Generation refers to the one that existed during the first advent of the Lord Jesus Christ about two thousand years ago. The Last Generation refers to the one in the End Time.
The First Generation had already experienced the "Great Tribulation" in a minor way that is limited to the Jews and the Christians in the First Century.
The Last Generation, also consisting of Jews and Christians, will not only experience the "Great Tribulation", but in a major way that will affect "all those who dwell on the face of the earth" during the End Time. (Lk. 21:35; Rev. 3:10)
The First Generation
“Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus said to them, "Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down." (Mt. 24:1-2)
The Lord Jesus Christ prophesied the Second Temple that King Herod built would be destroyed. History records the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple in 70 A.D. by the Roman army under General Titus.
Earlier the Lord had prophesied, “Assuredly I say to you, all these things will come upon this generation.” (Mt. 23:36)
The generation during the time that the Lord Jesus Christ was on the earth, which we shall call the First Generation, is seventy (70) years.
The Last Generation
The Lord Jesus Christ prophesied: “Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near--at the doors! Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place. Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away." (Mt. 24:32-35)
Interpretation of the Parable of the Fig Tree
The “fig tree” represents the nation of Israel (Jer. 24:5-7).
“When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves,” means the time when Israel was established as a nation again.
“you know that summer is near.” Jesus explained that “Summer” is the time of harvest and it represents “the end of the age” (Mt. 13:39; Pro. 10:5).
Prophecy of the Lord Jesus Christ
“Assuredly, I say to you, this generation will by no means pass away till all these things take place.” The Lord Jesus Christ prophesied that from the time of Israel being established as a nation to the time of His Second Coming would be within one generation.
According to the Bible one generation is about seventy years. (Psm. 90:10; ref. Dan. 9:2)
Fulfillment of the Lord's Prophecy
On May 14, 1948 Israel became a nation that is officially recognized by the United Nations.
If we add 70 years to 1948 we have the year 2018. If this theoretical interpretation and calculation is correct, then we should expect our Lord to return soon.
We cannot predict the exact time of Jesus' Second Coming, but we should prepare for the Great Tribulation that lasts about three and half years which could occur any time soon. (Jas. 5:17; Rev. 12:14)
The Final Warning to leave the Wicked Cities
When the disciples of Christ asked the Lord Jesus Christ when the temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed and also the signs of His Second Coming He also gave them the Last Warning to leave Judaea before the destruction of the city and the temple. This is also the Final Warning for the Christians to leave the wicked cities in the world during the End Time.
"Therefore when you see the "abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand),” (Mt. 24:15)
The Greek βδέλυγμα bdelygma τῆς of ἐρήμωσις erēmōsis translated into English as " The abomination of Desolation "that is mentioned in Daniel 11:31 refers to the defiling of God's temple.
In the Old Testament the Temple of God refers to the complex of religious buildings in Jerusalem where the Jews worshiped and offered sacrifices to God.
The Lord Jesus Christ refers to His Body as the Temple of God (Jn. 2:19-21). In the New Testament the Christian’s body is the spiritual Temple of God (1 Cor. 6:19).
Defiling God’s Spiritual Temple
“Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you? If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy, which temple you are.” (1 Cor. 3:16-17)
“Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own?”(1 Cor 6:18-19)
Homosexuality is an Abomination to God
“You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination.”(Lev. 18:22)
“If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them.” (Lev. 20:13)
God destroys not only those that practice homosexuality, but also those who approve and support it (Rom. 1:26-32)
The word “Desolation” means deserted, uninhabited and also barreness.
God hates homosexuality so He utterly destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah that became desolate, a punishment for cities filled with homosexuals in future generations (Jude. 1:7)
Same sex marriage can never produce children therefore it is an abomination of desolation.
Why Abortion is called the Abomination of Desolation
Life begins at the moment of conception in the mother’s womb (Psm. 139:13-16). Abortion is shedding the innocent blood of infants before birth. It is self-inflicted barrenness.
“Their feet run to evil, And they make haste to shed innocent blood; Their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; Wasting and destruction are in their paths.” (Isa. 59:7)
The Lord Jesus Christ instructed the Believers to evacuate when the Abomination of Desolation occurs
"Therefore when you see the "abomination of desolation,' spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place" (whoever reads, let him understand), "then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. . . And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. ” (Mt. 24:15-20)
The Abomination of Desolation signals the Beginning of the Great Tribulation
“For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever shall be. And unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect's sake those days will be shortened.” (Mt. 24:21-22)
U.S. president, vice president and ten states support same sex marriage
On May 9, 2012 President Barack Obama became the first president of the United States of America to announce and openly support same-sex marriage. Three days earlier on May 6, 2012 Vice President Joe Biden became the highest ranking American official to openly endorse gay marriage.
As of November 6, 2012, Election Night, nine states plus Washington, DC, the U.S. capital have legalized same sex marriage. These are the states shown on the map below:
Massachusetts, Connecticut , Vermont , New Hampshire, New York, Maryland, Maine, Iowa, Washington Washington D.C.
Legalized Same Sex Marriage with Superstorm Sandy
It is not a coincidence that the states that legalized same sex marriage are the same ones that were devastated by Superstorm Sandy one week before Barack Obama was re-elected president of the United States.
America is under the Judgment of God.
Significant Sign before the Return of the Lord Jesus Christ
“For as the lightning comes from the east and flashes to the west, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.” (Mt. 24:27) “And He said to them, "I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” (Lk. 10:18)
Bible scholars interpret the word “lightning” in Hebrew is ברק baraq (Psm. 135:7), and the word “heights” is במה bamah(Isa. 14:14)
Lightning from the East to the West
Barack Hussein Obama was born to an Islamic family. After his parents were divorced his mother remarried an Indonesian and they had lived in Indonesia. The lightning speed of his rise in politics from an unknown youth in an Islamic country in the East to become the most powerful leader in the West fulfills the prophecy of Jesus Christ.
This Bible Prophecy from our Lord Jesus Christ Himself of the lightning that comes from the East and flashes to the West is an indication that He will return when Barack (Lightning in Hebrew) Hussein Obama is showing power in the world.
Watch and Pray to Overcome the Great Tribulation and get to Heaven
“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man." (Lk. 21:36)
“And I said to him, "Sir, you know." So he said to me, "These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation, and washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.” (Rev. 7:14)
