I Want To Write And Talk About God

I Want To Write And Talk About God

Recently I stopped attending a speaking club I have belonged to for sixteen years. The reason is nothing personal. I truly love the people.

However, since the club is composed of individuals who hold various beliefs I have decided that, instead of me going to the mountain, I will let the mountain come to me.

Let me explain.

It is not my desire to push religion on others. I don't even consider myself religious. I simply wish to share, through writing and speaking, stories about what God has done for me throughout my life - during good times and bad. However, I am not comfortable presenting my views to mixed audiences. People have a right to their own beliefs, and I respect that.

Back to the mountain. If I write or speak my views to mixed audiences I feel as if I am facing a mountain. Therefore, I will simply present what is on my heart to those who want to hear or read what I have to say.

Examples: Write about God on Hub Pages. Find a computer wizard to help me create an inspirational website. Approach editors who are interested in what I have to say.

I am also advertising a non-credit course titled based on the Bible verse, "God is not the author of confusion but of peace" (I Corinthians 14:33) at a community college in my area next Spring. That way, those who want to read or hear about God can either click on one of my titles or show up at one of my classes. I refer to these people as the "mountains" who come to me, instead of pushing what I want to share on them.

My long-term passion is to complete a book about God which I am currently in the process of writing.

I've been so timid about this. However, now I'm ready to say, without hesitation, my daily purpose is to place every thought, word and deed on the altar of God with the hope He will remind me of His Presence every minute of every day. Then share the results, and encourage others He is the answer to everything.

With all my flaws, imperfections and mistakes God has a challenge ahead of Him. However, He knows my heart.

I believe there are those who are afraid to mention God because of the anxiety of offending another person. I know, because I have been one of them.

However, what has inspired me to be bolder regarding talking and writing about God is something I heard someone say. She was asked to name a quality about herself that was positive. She immediately replied, "I am fearless!" Also, Joyce Meyer always says, "Do it afraid."

Okay, God, here I am, send me.

To be continued...

Sincerely, ~Sparklea~

Dearest Sparklea,

All of your hubs are so very refreshingly honest and genuine! I love this one and just know that if God placed this on your heart then you should do just that and He will bless it and take what you have shared in knowing Him to places you never thought possible.

"If He is for us, then who can be against us!"

Thank you for sharing your heart for God with us all here.

May He continue to bless you and keep you.

Voted up ++++ and sharing

Hugs, Faith Reaper

Hi Faith, I have not re-visited this hub in awhile so I am so thrilled to return to what I shared...as a review...as well as, seeing your lovely face and reading your uplifting, encouraging comments. THANK YOU from my heart!

I also noticed I ended with, "to be continued" so I need to write a separate hub updating this...for example I have since advertised the course at the community college...If you had not visited this page I would not have been reminded!

One of my greatest prayers is to keep in touch with all my followers...SO difficult...SO MANY wonderful writes here, and not enough time!

I am asking for God assistance...and, when I receive it, I can share it with another hub!

Praying daily for you and your wonderful family...enjoy those grandkids!

Blessings and love Sparklea :)

Oswalda, THANK YOU. I think every minute of the gift of life is a journey, and, hopefully, we learn positive lessons along the way - and our mistakes (mine are many) can be shared to help others.

I so appreciate your stopping by. Life can be so hectic and busy...there are other hubs I want to write and post...it's all about time. God bless you real good, Sparklea :)
