How can you be sure that Christianity is the only true religion in the world

The Lord Jesus Christ is the One and Only Savior of Mankind

Comments with Questions on whether or not Christianity is the Only True Religion

Following the publication of "The False Gospel of Oprah and Obama" another Hubber wrote his comments and questioned the credibility of Christianity. In this Hub Page I shall answer his questions point by point.

Here are his comments:

The funny thing about these "only way" beliefs is telling which is correct. How can you be sure that yours is the right one? Sure, you've got a book, but the only "proof" of that book comes from the book itself. If it is the book that is in question...

Beyond that, if Christianity is about love, why all the hate? If it is about peace, why all the fear? If it is about truth, why all the lies? If God loves you, why has he damned you from birth, even though his Son supposedly paid for your sins long ago? If God is all, why the jelousy? Why does a God who wants only good things for you insist that you fear him?

Every time I've come across a false religion, it is unfailingly the one that condemns that ends up being the false one. Consider "God is Love" against the fear, pain, turmoil, and anger that make up the "path" of Christianity today. By your own words, God is, at best, an abusive lover. More likely, it is your Satan, literally using scripture to consume you.

Either way, whether Dark Lord or Devil - do you really want to spend eternity with the entity the Bible calls God? Just some food for thought - for those who are still capable.

Questions and Answers on Christianity being the True Religion

Question: The funny thing about these "only way" beliefs is telling which is correct. How can you be sure that yours is the right one?

Answer: In the world there are many religions such as Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Buddhism, Hinduism, etc. Even Atheism, a disbelief in the existence of God, is a form of religion. Christians claim theirs is the only way to heaven and this is how they can be sure theirs is the right one.

True Christianity, the Christianity of the New Testament in the Holy Bible, is absolutely dependent on history. At the heart of the New Testament faith is the assertion that "God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself." (2 Cor. 5:19). The incarnation which is God's manifestation in the flesh, death, burial and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ are real events in time and space. These events are recorded by real people who are eye witnesses. There are over 500 witnesses who have seen the resurrected Christ (1 Cor. 15:5-6). There are at least 120 disciples of Christ who have witnessed the Lord Jesus Christ ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9-15).

Just consider these five events of the Lord Jesus Christ - His virgin birth, sacrificial death on the Cross, burial in the Tomb, resurrection and ascension into heaven. Since the beginning of human history there is not a single person on earth besides the Lord Jesus Christ that has ever experienced these events that are attested by witnesses and recorded in a single document anywhere.

Study and examine the history of the founders of other major religions such as Judaism, Islam, Buddhism and Hinduism; and you will find that every one of them died and their bodies rotted and turned into dust. Islam claims that Mohammed ascended to heaven from the Rock of the Dome in Jerusalem. There is not a single eyewitness to this event therefore it can only be considered a myth at best. There is no claim that Krishna (Hinduism) and Buddha (Buddhism) ever died, resurrected and ascended to heaven.

The Lord Jesus Christ said: "I and My Father are one." (John 10:30) He also said: "He who has seen Me has seen the Father." (John 14:9) By these statements Jesus has proclaimed Himself to be God. There are only two possibilities for Jesus to make such a claim. Either it is true or false. if it is true then Christianity is the only true religion in the world. If it is false then Jesus is either a lunatic or a liar, in which case only fools would ever believe in Him.

After His death, buial and resurrection Jesus appeared to His disciples. When Thomas touched the wounds of His resurrected body and hands he called Jesus, "My Lord and my God!" (John 20:26-29). "And He led them out as far as Bethany, and He lifted His hands and blessed them. Now it came to pass, while He blessed them, that he was parted from them and carried up into heaven. And they worshiped Him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy, and were continually in the temple praising and blessing God. Amen." (Luke 24:50-53)

Christianity began with about 120 disciples who witnessed the death, burial, resurrection and ascension of the Lord Jesus Christ. This religion has not only survived for more than 2,000 years but has also flourished and today it is the only religion that is accepted by believers all over the world.

I am absolutely 100% sure that Christianity is the one and only true religion in the world, and the Lord Jesus Christ is the One and Only Savior of mankind.

The Holy Bible is the Word of God and it is completely reliable as a Guide for Mankind

Question: Sure, you've got a book, but the only "proof" of that book comes from the book itself. If it is the book that is in question...

Answer: The Holy Bible is not just any book. It is the Word of God. It is written over about a span of 1,500 years by more than 40 men who were chosen by God. The Old Testament was written in Hebrew and the New Testament written in Greek. The amazing thing about the Bible is that although it is written by different people in different epochs of time, yet all of them agree on only one central theme, and that is God's redemption of mankind by His coming into the world in the form of flesh as His Son Jesus Christ.

The Holy Bible has the Old Testament that is accepted by the three great religions - Judaism, Christianity and Islam. The New Testament which has 27 authoritative books has been fully supported by the Early Church Fathers for their accuracy. True Christians hold the doctrinal position that in its original form, the Bible is totally without error, and free from known contradiction; "referring to the complete accuracy of Scripture, including the historical and scientific parts."

Christianity is not a blind faith. It is the only religion that can prove itself, and a main source of that proof is the Bible. One of the strongest arguments for the accuracy of the Bible is its 100% accuracy in predicting the future. These future predictions are called "prophecies." The Old Testament was written between approximately 1450 BC and 430 BC. During that time, many predictions of the future were recorded in the Bible by God's prophets. Of the events that were to have taken place by now, every one happened just the way they predicted it would. No other "sacred writing" has such perfectly accurate predictions of the future.

The Old Testament contains numerous prophecies written over 2,500 years ago. Every one of these prophecies was fulfilled in the life of Jesus of Nazareth approximately 2,000 years ago. Let us just take a few of these prophecies and see how they were fulfilled.

1. The Messiah will be born in Bethlehem.

Old Testament Prophecy: "But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Though you are little among the thousands of Judah, Yet out of you shall come forth to Me The One to be Ruler in Israel, Whose goings forth are from of old, From everlasting." (Micah 5:2)

New Testament Fulfillment: "Now after Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea in the days of Herod the king, behold, wise men from the East came to Jerusalem," (Matthew 2:1)

2. The Messiah will be a descendant of Judah.

Old Testament Prophecy: "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, Nor a lawgiver from between his feet, Until Shiloh comes; And to Him shall be the obedience of the people." (Genesis 49:10)

New Testament Fulfillment: Luke 3:23-38 and Matthew 1:1-17 confirm that Jesus is a descendant of Judah.

3. The Messiah will be a descendant of David.

Old Testament Prophecy: "Behold, the days are coming," says the LORD, "That I will raise to David a Branch of righteousness; A King shall reign and prosper, And execute judgment and righteousness in the earth." (Jeremiah 23:5)

New Testament Fulfillment: "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David. And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His kingdom there will be no end." (Luke 1:32-33)

4. The Messiah will be born of a virgin.

Old Testament Prophecy: "Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a Son, and shall call His name Immanuel." (Isaiah 7:14)

New Testament Fulfillment: 18 "Now the birth of Jesus Christ was as follows: After His mother Mary was betrothed to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Spirit.19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not wanting to make her a public example, was minded to put her away secretly. 20 But while he thought about these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." 22 So all this was done that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying: 23 "Behold, the virgin shall be with child, and bear a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel," which is translated, "God with us." (Matthew 1:18-23)

5. The Messiah will be the Son of God.

Old Testament Prophecy: "I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession." (Psalm 2:7-8)

New Testament Fulfillment: "And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased." (Matthew 3:17)

The first four books in the New Testament, called the Four Gospels, are historical and biographical accounts of the life of the Lord Jesus Christ. The first three books that are written by Matthew, Mark and Luke are called Synoptic Gospels because they record similar events. The fourth book by John places emphasis on the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. The fact of the matter is that over 90% of the original text has been recovered and more than half of all the verses in the Gospels agree with each other.

There are several early Non-Christian confirmation of New Testament history. In the First Century the Roman historian Tacitus wrote about the Roman Emperor Nero blaming the Christians for starting the fire in Rome. Another Roman historian Suetonius wrote: "Punishment was inflicted on the Christians, a body of people addicted to a novel and mischievous superstition." (Suetonius, Life of Nero, 16). Josephus (c.A.D. 37 - c.A.D. 100) wrote two major works - Jewish Wars and Antiquities of the Jews. In his books there are many statements that verify, either generally or in specific detail, the historical nature of both the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.

Conflicts of Character, Behavior and Emotion in Christianity is due to Two Opposing Forces battling for each Person's Soul

Question: Beyond that, if Christianity is about love, why all the hate? If it is about peace, why all the fear? If it is about truth, why all the lies?

Answer: There are two opposing forces battling for the soul of each individual person on earth. God is good and Satan is evil. True Christianity is the One True God in the Lord Jesus Christ who comes to save us from sin and He will return to take the saved ones to heaven . The world religions are controlled by Satan and he is here to deceive people and destroy their souls so that they are condemned to hell.

Love and Hatred True Christianity teaches the love of God and not hatred. "And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him." (1 Jn. 4:16) Jesus taught us: "You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you." (Mt. 5:43-44)

Peace and Fear Jesus said, "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (Jn. 16:33) The peace that Christians receive is the true inner peace that comes from God through prayer (Phil. 4:6-7).

There are two kinds of fear described in the Bible. One is a natural emotional response to a perceived threat to one's security or general welfare. After Adam and Eve disobeyed God they feared for His retribution (Gen. 3:10). The second type of fear is an attitude of respect and submission like one's proper response to someone in authority; a child to parents (Lev. 19:3), citizens to their leaders (Josh. 4:14), tax payers to the government revenue service (Rom. 13:7).

Truth and Lies The Bible states: ". .Let God be true but every man a liar." (Rom. 3:l4) ". . . grace and truth came through Jesus Christ." (Jn. 1:17) "Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." (Jn. 14:6)

Jesus said, "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it." (Jn. 8:44)

Truth comes from God and lies come from the devil.

The Lord Jesus Christ is the Only Savior of Mankind because He is without Sin

Question: If God loves you, why has he damned you from birth, even though his Son supposedly paid for your sins long ago?

Answer: All mankind is condemned because of the original sin that Adam and Eve had committed. "Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all man, because all sinned." (Rom. 5:12) God spoke to Joseph about the immaculate conception in Mary's womb, ". . . for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name JESUS, for He will save His people from their sins." (Mt. 1:20-23)

Jesus did not have a human father therefore He did not inherit the original sin from Adam. Mary did not have sex with any man. "Then Mary said to the angel, ‘How can this be, since I do not know a man?' And the angel answered and said to her, ‘The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God." (Lk. 1:34-35) Throughout the history of mankind Jesus Christ is only Person who is born of a virgin, and that makes Him the only sinless Person who ever lived. This also makes the Lord Jesus Christ the only Savior of mankind. Because Jesus has no sin He alone can be the perfect sacrifice for our sins. "For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him." (2 Cor. 5:21)

Although the Lord Jesus Christ had paid the price for sins more than 2,000 years ago yet His sacrifice for sins is still effective today. "For by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified." (Heb. 10:14)

God's salvation is available to every person on earth but it must be received by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. "But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name." (Jn. 1:12) "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ." (Gal. 3:26-27) Repentance and baptism in the name of Jesus Christ is for the remission of sins and receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit (Acts. 2:38-39).

Oprah Winfrey and Barack Obama are both completely wrong in their teaching that anyone can become children of God without repentance, believing and baptism into the Lord Jesus Christ.

The True Meaning and Significance of a "Jealous God"

Question:If God is all, why the jelousy? Why does a God who wants only good things for you insist that you fear him?

Answer: The Second Commandment states: "You shall not make for yourself any carved image, or any likeness of anything . . . . you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generation of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My commandments." (Ex. 20:4-6).

This commandment is given by God to His people who have a husband and wife relationship with Him. In the Old Testament time God considers Israel as His wife (Jer. 3:14) In the New Testament time the Church is the Bride of Christ (Eph. 5:331-32; Rev. 19:7-8) God is jealous for His people in the same sense that a loving husband is jealous of other men who want to have romantic affairs with his wife. Remember that in the marriage ceremony both the bride and groom make promises to be faithful to each other.

God's jealousy signifies His intolerance of rivalry or unfaithfulness of His people towards other gods (Ex. 20:5; 34:14; Deut. 4:24; 5:9).

God's jealousy is a good and positive sign that He still loves us very much and wants us to belong to Him exclusively. God's jealousy makes us love Him all the more, determined to be faithful to Him and not serve other gods.

Always think about the Goodness of God and Good things will Come to You

Question: Every time I've come across a false religion, it is unfailingly the one that condemns that ends up being the false one. Consider "God is Love" against the fear, pain, turmoil, and anger that make up the "path" of Christianity today. By your own words, God is, at best, an abusive lover. More likely, it is your Satan, literally using scripture to consume you.

Answer: Do not have any negative thoughts about Christianity. Here is God's plan for your life.

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. (Jer. 29:11-13)

Question: Either way, whether Dark Lord or Devil - do you really want to spend eternity with the entity the Bible calls God? Just some food for thought - for those who are still capable.

Answer: Heaven is real and you want to go there.

Jesus said he was the only way to God and he died for all men and for all sin and all time to accomplish this. He spoke his death beforehand and his resurrection beforehand and he arose for I am an I witness. The above statements of Paul Wong are true. If you will come to Jesus he will in his time and way prove it but you must come beleiving if you were the only one who ever lived he would have come and died for you. Trust and obey Jesus. It is worth it all. Eternal life or eternal death. Take Jesus and Jesus will prove himself to you as the lord and God.

Paul, wonderful hub and wonderful truth. Before anyone outside of Christianity can understand what you have written, they must first understand that they are sinners who need a savior. If they don't recognize or agree that they have sinned, then they cannot see that they need of a saviour.

We know that God demands perfection to enter heaven. Therefore, no one on this earth would be able to enter heaven because none of us are perfect. If perfection is God's standard then we are all doomed. For example. If someone asks me if I have ever lied, even as a child, my answer would have to be yes. Therefore, that makes me a liar. If someone asks me if I ever stole anything, even a paperclip from my company's office or use of the company phone on work time, or candy from a candy store, or my brother's toy when I was little and knew what I was doing, my answer would have to be yes. Therefore I am a thief. I have established that based on a perfect God and the fact that I must be perfect to enter heaven, because of even one of these sins, I do not qualify to enter heaven. Then there is no hope for me.

Suppose I committed a crime and I was thrown in jail and the only way out was for me to pay a fine of $10,000. Then someone comes along and speaks with the judge and tells the judge that he wants to pay my $10,000 fine for me, no strings attached. I accept, the person pays the fine and I get out of jail for free. No obligation. I didn't do anything to deserve it. The person didn't owe me anything. He just gave me a free get out of jail card. A free gift. I would be shocked and amazed and very grateful for what that person had done.

Back to the fact that we have established that I am not perfect and because of that I cannot enter heaven. God knew we could not live up to His standards of perfection. He knew Adam and Eve would fall and because of His love, mercy and compassion, He established a way for us to escape eternal damnation and to be with Him in heaven. He made a way for us to be perfect. His plan was Jesus. He would send his only Son to bear the weight of all of our sins when He died on the cross. Because of Jesus Christ, God only sees His blood and not our sin. We are covered by His blood when we simply accept the free gift of eternal life.

All of this takes faith. It's not just saying a bunch of words. When you accept Jesus Christ you come just as you are. You don't decide to quit smoking first, or quit being an alcoholic or quit living with your boyfriend or girlfriend without being married. You come with all of your faults and your sins. You can't change yourself. When you take that step in faith and ask Jesus to come into your heart and be Lord of your life, the holy spirit will change you. He will make you recognize your sin and because you will realize at that point all that Jesus has done for you, you will want to change and you will want to fall in love with the Savior who has now paved the way for you to spend eternity in heaven.

It is out of Love that God makes every decision He makes. There are many troubles in this world and we bring most of them on ourselves through the corruption of mankind. Before one looks to God to blame Him for everything that goes wrong, perhaps we should take a little more time to see just who we are and how we fall so short of the perfection of God.

I pity you, for you think all those who are not christians are damned. Hinduism believes there are many paths towards reaching God and christianity and hinduism are one of the many. I am a Hindu and I love and respect all relegion and do beleive that if I live as a good human being all my life I am sure to go to heaven. Peace be with you, may Lord Jesus bless you with sanity so that you can understand the real message from Jesus.

@ Privateeye2000. Does that make you a goddess? You may want to believe and your are entitled to. However, you took the whole thing out of context. And Jesus quoted it too knowing its full meaning! But the surprising fact is that the gospel writer recorded it, proving that the Bible is true and Jesus is the only true way to God. WHY? If the gospel writer was making things up to start a religion on his own, making Jesus the only Son of God and God as the only true God, he would have cut that embarrassing part out! You would also and so would I. Back to the context: The Psalmist (82) merely is saying that we are god-beings, unlike animals and other non-human life, because we were created in God's own image. I was modelled after God's own image making me a god-being and so are you. But we are not to assume the position of God as the Almighty Creator demanding worship and lording over his creation. Is it blasphemy to claim that I am a god-being? Absolutely not. Luke records Adam as the son of God in Christ's geneaology and that is clear, without rivalling Christ as the Son of God of the Trinity, who became flesh and dwelt among men. The bible intereprets itself clearly. I do respect other religions as people organising and struggling to find the true God, because man is designed and wired to connect to his maker, and there only has to be one way because the true God will not cause men to create counterfeits endlessly and lead millions astray. John 14:1-6. Jesus is the only way and the Bible will never be changed and God's word is forever settled in heaven. God is the same and God is not politically correct. He is truth and truth demands worship and you find the truth in God's written word, the Holy Bible. Beware of counterfeits invented by Satan daily as he has been producing and inspiring counterfeits from the Garden of Eden until our time to smother true worship of the true Creator of Genesis.

I find it funny how ALL major world religions claim to be the true religion, backing up claims with varying doctrinal texts. The fighting between the religious sects has been the basis for wars and civil unrest for centuries. Of course this is blamed on man's inability to keep the faith. I admire you sharing your thoughts on the matter, and I myself was one time a born again believer. During this time, I read the Bible daily, prayed and suffered greatly. I got so anxious over all the "WHAT NOT TO DOS" in the Bible and preached by men of God, that I started suffering anxiety attacks, deep depression and mood swings. Despite all the prayer on the belief that "ask and ye shall receive," my condition got worse. I was told it was the devil trying to hurt me because I was doing what was right by God. I believed that at the time. But then common sense kicked in. Why would God promise to answer prayers but stand back while you suffered for even praying at all, and still not answer the prayers. The excuse "It must not have been meant to be" just doesn't make sense at all. So for all its worth, let me point out, if you take the time to look closely, all major world religions have similar beliefs but refuse to accept that fact. There is one God in these beliefs, there is a savior, there is a promised land, a chosen people and of course an end to it all, ushering in a new millenium. Despite all these similarities there is also the ongoing fight to be right. For all the grandstanding and attempted conversions to religion, does it cross anyone's mind at all that this is why alot of people run from organized religion? Too much drama and heartache is not a way to live life, whether your alive because of one god or several or even a goddess. Monotheism is not as old as time, despite stories in text that do not have simple proven origin. And yes, I have studied and I do know that through time, none of the holy texts for any religion are 100% proven in origin, only believed to be from certain places and times. Now, to my earlier statement of when I practiced Christianity. Everything got worse, and I started noticing others around me in my town suffering but keeping the faith and making the same excuses. We were not all from the same church, just all claimed born again status. I left, period. I could not take anymore torture to me or my children for having to watch me deteriorate right before their eyes. For this reason I have refused organized religion for years. I have problems with people who try to convert me, knowing full well what happened before and they are suffering the same. I rarely speak of organized religion in a negative light because I just do not believe that anyone is to be put down for their beliefs at all. But when I see a hub or thread in a forum that puts down others and attempts to prove something that just doesn't make sense, then I have issue with that. If we are all made in God's image, and God is a loving God, then why are we not more loving? Why are we fighting? Garden of Eden might be a good excuse here but it just doesn't fly. Think on this, it is also said that God is a jealous God, yet we are not to covet (in other words desire or be jealous of what others have or do). That's being the exact opposite of his image. So you see only part of why I see widespread anxiety and pain, instead of joy and peace. It gets to the point that you believe if you breathe wrong you are going to burn in hell. I hope this comment has lent some insight into why people like me do not conform to organized religious conversion efforts such as this. It is a well written hub, you are a talented writer, but in good conciense I cannot remain silent on this issue. I wish you many blessings in life, and I hope one day that we will all be able to understand each other better.

We believe it alright. How can we prove it though.? How can we prove that this book of gospels, is not just a book?

Thomas J 5 years ago

cngrats Mr author. as someone commented Biblical Christianity do not categarize only non-christians as the sinners but the whole world. all who born as human being are sinners. God came in the form of man not only for Christians but for the whole world. therefore it is the responsibility of the people of the whole world to recognize Christ as the PERSONAL saviour. EVEN THE SO CALLED NOMINAL CHRISTIANS..........

What about the millions and millions of homeless and starving on the streets of China, India and Africa that have never had a chance to hear the word of the bible or its existence and never will through their entire lifetimes? BQ: How is that fair that these people will never be "saved" or be able to access prayer and live in hell on earth in famine and disease from birth to death? (And yes make no mistakes, such millions of people exist)

The Man 4 years ago

You say that Christianity is not a blind faith.... Then you also say that all humans are condemned because of the original sin of Adam and Eve.... Let's be LOGICAL and not "blind" here as you stipulate you aren't.... What you're saying in fact is that if your great-great-great-great-great-grandfather committed a crime, you should be still punished for it generations later even though you had absolutely nothing to do with it initially and had no power to even interfere. How can a fair, all-benevolent and omnipotent God devoid of any evil let this happen? Say in 50 years' time, thorough technological progress we find out the identity of Jack the Ripper. Then, let's put Jack The Ripper's innocent great grandchild to jail, even though he/she won't even know the blood relationship and potentially will never have even heard of who Jack The Ripper was.. even if he/she is doing a great deal of good for people at that time, put them to jail! Because God chose to condemn us for Adam and Eve's sin with which you and I have ABSOLUTELY nothing to do and is waaaaaay beyond our control at any level. Yeah that is totally fair and acceptable, and it makes perfect sense!

In fact, as a logical problem, if God is all-benevolent and omnipotent, there should be no suffering on earth AT ALL. God has all the power and knowledge to create beings that are perfect, in his image and devoid of the ability to commit sin. He also can stop Satan at will as God knows all and can do it all. But yet he creates flawed humans prone to temptation and tests them through Satan to see who "enters the pearly gates"... He can create perfect happiness for everything and everyone but he chooses to intentionally instill evil and suffering in his "divine" human creations for 2000 years... You know what that shows about God??...

I'll digress here...

Faith is blind by definition. Faith is about believing strongly in something that you cannot prove to be true.

Jesus said to Peter

'Blessed are you because the Holy Spirit has revealed to you that I am the son of man. And you are Peter and upon this rock I will build my church"

Jesus did not say the Catholic or Methodist.

Don't forget though the schism was the reason for the split between Catholics and other Christian denominations. However the Catholic Church still holds the office of Peter. The first Pope. Only Catholics believe in the supremacy of the pope.

"one holy and apostolic church"

All other Christian denominations do not believe in the Pontiff

Check the Catechism of The Catholic Church.

Sorry, to my fellow believers of God (our Creator), but cant stop myself from making a question statement... "Who was more miraculously born? Adam who was created without either a human father or mother? Or Jesus, who was born of virgin Mary?"

It is my sincere belief that the true church of Jesus Christ is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saints". Jesus Christ restored his church with his doctrine to latter-day prophets to prepare for his return. The honest in heart; the true follows of Christ; will recognize His church when they honestly search for it. The Book of Mormon is a second witness for Jesus Christ. It is also a witness to the world that Christ's gospel has been restored. It has within its pages plain and precious truths that were withheld from the bible by politicians and religious leaders who sought to control religion at the time of the Nicene creed 325AD and beyond. Religions created by men are simply that, they are men's religions. They teach for doctrines the commandments of men, having a form of Godliness but deny the power thereof, for they exalt themselves as though they were called and ordained of God, when they were not. God ordains his servants and gives them his doctrine through his servants the prophets. As the scriptures teach; "no man taketh this honor unto himself except he that is called of God as was Aaron." Heb 5:4 Aaron was ordained of God by God's prophet. Such a process insures that true doctrine and principles will always be taught; for such men have to be worthy and have to be called and ordained of God by those holding his priesthood; who have been called to this work.

It is a simple concept. There is one Lord, one faith and one baptism. Eph 4:5 Not everyone who saith unto me Lord Lord shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven, but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven. Matthew 7:21 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. Galatians 1:8 Be yea therefore perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect. Matthew 5:48 And ye shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. John 8:32

A sincere seeker after Christ will know based on these scriptures and many others, that the principles of Christ’s gospel consist of eternal truths that must be learned and lived by. They cannot be altered by man no matter how well intentioned he is. When we are judged we are judged against true principles. Therefore it is absolutely imperative that we be taught perfect gospel truths; what we would call today the Fullness of the Gospel of Christ. Otherwise, how can we be righteously judged.

Today, we have thousands of Christian churches. They all appear to be different, therefore, they are either all wrong or if one of them is right the others are wrong. You might be tempted to say they are all right in the eyes of God because they teach of Christ; but as the scriptures above indicate, you can not just acknowledge Christ by saying Lord Lord, you must do the will of Father. Which of any of the Christian churches even know what the will of the Father is? Does that not require Apostles and Prophets as taught in Ephesians 4:11-14; an organization that would be required “until we all come to the unity of the faith”. That certainly has not happened.

I will give you one simple doctrine that none of the other Christian churches teach or understand; and if they do not understand this doctrine they can not possibly be the Lord’s church. Here is the question. If a young mother who loves and cares for her children; who is morally clean; who seeks after all things that are praise worthy, lovely, and virtuous should die without any knowledge of Christ or his gospel does she go to hell as most Christian churches teach? What does your church teach? What do you teach? You are going to be tempted to say that she cannot be saved, because that is what the churches of men typically teach. Those who believe this do not understand the scriptures or the love of God and are in the bonds of iniquity which will require a great repentance on their part for teaching such an abominable doctrine.

There will not be a single child of God who does not have the opportunity to hear the gospel and receive the ordinances of Salvation before their final day of judgement. Anyone teaching doctrine other than this is teach an abominable doctrine; for God is a just and loving God and loves all of his children. He did not create them to send them to hell. The fact that you do not know how this all happens, does not change the truth of it. You need to seek, be humble, be sincere in your desire to find the truth. You need to hunger and thirst after righteousness and you will find the truth and it will not be among the churches of men that teach such doctrines.

If you have any desire to discuss these, or other principles of the Gospel of Christ with one of his young missionaries (18-21 yrs of age), please let me know. These are servants of God teaching the gospel that Christ has revealed to the earth in these last days. Of course there is a great deal of opposition to Christ’s gospel. There are many lies and much persecution; but would you expect it to be any different? The Pharisees and Sadducees brutally murdered the Son of God, should his restored church expect any better from the religions of today? Over 100 Ministers joined forces to destroy the Mormon Church in the early days of the church; resulting in the death of thousands of the Latter-day Saints. Many church members build homes and farms in Missouri, then Ohio and then Illinois; each time being driven out. After draining a swamp and building what became the largest city in Illinois, Nauvoo, the Saints were driven out in the dead of winter across the Mississippi river. Over 2000 Saints were buried along the mud frozen trail to the Salt Lake Valley, fathers, mothers, children, and infants. A great price was paid for the restoration of the gospel. The greater the truth, the greater the opposition. In any case, I would love to hear from you and continue discussing the Gospel of Christ.

Thank You for all You do for Christ

Steve

A Sampling of Doctrines Taught by Book of Mormon Prophets in Ancient America

2 Nephi 10: 11-16

11 And this land shall be a land of liberty unto the Gentiles, and there shall be no kings upon the land, who shall raise up unto the Gentiles.

12 And I will fortify this land against all other nations.

13 And he that fighteth against Zion shall perish, saith God.

14 For he that raiseth up a king against me shall perish, for I, the Lord, the king of heaven, will be their king, and I will be a light unto them forever, that hear my words.

15 Wherefore, for this cause, that my covenants may be fulfilled which I have made unto the children of men, that I will do unto them while they are in the flesh, I must needs destroy the secret works of darkness, and of murders, and of abominations.

16 Wherefore, he that fighteth against Zion, both Jew and Gentile, both bond and free, both male and female, shall perish; for they are they who are the whore of all the earth; for they who are not for me are against me, saith our God.

2 Nephi 25:15-18

15 Wherefore, the Jews shall be scattered among all nations; yea, and also Babylon shall be destroyed; wherefore, the Jews shall be scattered by other nations.

16 And after they have been scattered, and the Lord God hath scourged them by other nations for the space of many generations, yea, even down from generation to generation until they shall be persuaded to believe in Christ, the Son of God, and the atonement, which is infinite for all mankind—and when that day shall come that they shall believe in Christ, and worship the Father in his name, with pure hearts and clean hands, and look not forward any more for another Messiah, then, at that time, the day will come that it must needs be expedient that they should believe these things.

17 And the Lord will set his hand again the second time to restore his people from their lost and fallen state. Wherefore, he will proceed to do a marvelous work and a wonder among the children of men.

18 Wherefore, he shall bring forth his words unto them, which words shall judge them at the last day, for they shall be given them for the purpose of convincing them of the true Messiah,

Dear Steve,

I appreciate your zeal, but you are misguided and are preaching the Mormon doctrine, not the true Gospel that was preached by the Apostles. The apostle Paul wrote: "I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another, but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so not I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed." (Gal. 1:6-9)

God had preserved the truths in the Holy Bible that are sufficient for salvation (2 Tim. 3:14-17). Both the Koran and the Book of Mormon are not the words of God but were dictated by so-called angels who were not sent by God. Both Mohammed and Joseph Smith were deceived by those so-called angels. They are false prophets that the Lord Jesus Christ had warned His disciples. (Mt. 24:11)

Steve, you should pray to the One True God in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ and ask the Lord to guide you through His Spirit of Truth and you will come to the Truth (Jn. 16:13).

May God bless and guide you.

In love,

Arkwriter
