Unexpected Sign In Our Christian Walk

Updated on April 6, 2011

Beware At All Times

Encouraging you to believe God speaks through His Word, and we should be careful to listen to His voice in our personal experiences. I'm going to write about King Ahaz and his enemies.

It would be that the enemies of Ahaz plotted to overthrow His kingdom. He heard about it and was shaking like (leaves on a tree in fierce wind) . Because they had decided to take over Ahaz’s kingdom and put in a king they would control and split the spoils among themeselves and was coming at them with fierce anger. Picture that in the theater of your mind.

The devil plots against us in the same manner and want to take over our possessions and heritage in God. Attacking our health, finances family, job, and relationships with people saved and sinners. Anybody have any fierce anger coming you, shaking? God's love will show up!

God sent Isaiah with his son to meet Ahaz in a certain place and tell him to take heed and be quiet; fear not and neither be fainthearted about Syria and the others taking counsel against him.

God dealt with them through signs and wonders and they always wanted to see something but not always believed what was shown.

Have God sent you a sign in HisWord?

Isaiah said thus saith the Lord God: it shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass. God then instructed the King to ask for a Sign. In the depth or height above. But the King wouldn’t ask a sign, saying he didn’t want to tempt God. Sound good, but we know he had his trust in something or someone other than God. He had a plan. You know how some of us do. We hear the word but we got an idea on how to fix it a little, quicker. We get an idea, and check it out.

Isaiah said (para phrase) you’ve already stressed us out, trying to get you to believe God words, now must you wear God patience in trying to find a way of correcting you and you still blowing it. But Isaiah let them know that security was promised them but they needed to believe, without faith their nation wouldn’t be stable. God being faithful to the house of David and to His people said, I’m going to give you sign away. An unexpected sign.

Have you had an unexpected sign from God. God promised if we go left and you went right but as you went right and got into some stuff, God comes by with an unexpected sign to lead you out. Not for your sake; For grace and mercy sake. God's love for you out weighs everything, especially when we accept Him as Lord and Savior.

The sign God gave them was the virgin birth of a child and specific name that means God with us, Emanuel.( meaning God will save his people no matter what the royal family does). And that he would eat butter and honey to know to refuse the evil and choose the good. He would assure God’s presence and he would help his people from their enemies . Later in person of Jesus remove all sin and all enemies. That was the Word and sign given to them. And we know they rejected the living Word.

What is the word speaking to you right now about you life experiences? The Word you read and study, the word that is preached or prophesied to you. What are you doing with the Word to change you life and circumstances and more than that to change others?

The scriptures  talks about the virgin birth and we know the story but would we believe the way Mary believed? Or would we have said I must have been, I had to been dreaming. A spoken word through angelic visitation. I don’t know about you, but I can I would, How can you say that Sis?

Well, I had some experiences with visitations from God, angelic and God’s audible voice. And have seen some signs and wonders. Have seen some from the devil’s camp also which I bind and disallow, In Jesus Name. That’s were we have to go; to be able to say as Mary said be it unto me, Your servant I am be it unto me. And I believe we’ll see and have more of the supernatural. As Jesus said Fear not: Believe ONLY. And you may get more unexpected signs.
