2012/13 Conference National Match-Day Two Review

Aaron O'Connor scored two goals to give Newport County a 4-0 win over Neuneaton Town. Newport leads Conference National with six points and a plus five goal differential. O'Connor got the scoring started in 13th minute. Jefferson Louis scored in 20th minute to give them a 2-0 lead. O'Connor raised lead to 3-0 after scoring in 52nd minute. Lee Evans finished the scoring in 86th minute. Nuneaton Town has yet to score a point yet this season.

Joining Newport with six points is Stockport County. Stockport won at Grimsby Town 2-1. Nathan Pond gave Grimsby a 1-0 lead after his score in 69th minute. Stockport got on the board with a goal from Danny Rowe in 81st minute. Daniel Whitehead scored in stoppage time to surprise Grimsby. Stockport has six points on year but trails Newport by three goals in goal differential. Grimsby Town has one point on season so far.

Seven clubs have four points thru two matches. Gateshead has a slight advantage on the other six clubs with their plus three goal differential. Luton Town has a plus two goal differential to stand in fourth place of current table.
