Higuine Scores Hatrick -Argentna enteres Pre quarter finals of FIFA World Cup 2010

Today the Soccer City stadium once again trembled after the inaugural match of South Africa , when the Argentinean striker Gonzalo Higuain scored a hattrick for Argentina. With the help of Higuain’s hattrick Argentina entered to last 16 of FIFA World Cup 2010. Argentina became the first team to enter the pre quarter finals of this world cup.

Argentina and South Korea won their first matches against Nigeria and Greece earlier. So today’s match was really determining the group winners. Hence both the teams were with their full strength. In Argentinean line up veteran defender Veron was absent due to a minor injury. But the defense didn’t felt the absence of Veron.

The match attracted attention before starting the match due to the coaches. The Korean coach Huh Jung was the man to stop  the present Argentina Deigo Maradona in 1986 World Cup in Mexico. That time Maradona escaped from all the defense and defeated South Korea by 3 – 1. Also Argentina came out as world winners in that year.

But today the Soccer city stadium was roaring for Argentina and the Vuvusela sounded for them. The ‘Waka Waka’ also was tuned for Argentina today. When the match was about 20 minuts there came a self goal from Korean defender when he tried to stop a cross. Following it Higuain scored at 33rd minut.

After getting 2-0 lead Argentina tried to increase the lead. But Koreans were in constant try to return the goal. They found it fruitful when Lee Yong returned one goal at the injury time of first half. But the second half was the reign of Lionel Messi and Gonzalo Higuain. Messi – Higuin pair scored the second goal of Higuain at 76th minut of the match. At 79th minut Messi – Aguero –Higuain combination scored the fourth goal for Argentina putting the Koreans in sea of disappointment.  By this win Argentina entered to the pre quarter finals of FIFA World Cup 2010.
