Baseball in the 1970's
In reality, this decade had changed baseball for the better. It became a successful business and changed the lives of the new and upcoming heros. So many triumphs and losses came throughout the 1970's. Lets look back at some...
The losses of Roberto Clemente hit the baseball world very hard. Then you look at the New York Yankee team leader throughout the 1970's and was at the center of the team’s greatest triumphs but that all came to an end when on August 2, 1979 Munson died in a plane crash.
The 1970's brought Tom Seaver to the front spot-light. Who can forget the pitching exhibition in San Diego against the Padres on April 22, 1970. Tom Terrific Seaver struck out 19 batters, including the last 10 batters of the game.

On October 2, 1978, the two rivals The New York Yankees, and Boston Red Sox battled in a one-game playoff in Boston. Here it comes! Bucky Dent, who had just hit 5 home rums all of that season came up with one of the most important home runs of his career. He hit a three-run blast in the 7th inning that helped propel the Bronx Bombers to victory.
The American League established an expansion franchise in Toronto in 1977. The Toronto Blue Jays became the first American League baseball franchise.
The New York Mets beating the Cincinnati Reds in the 1973 National league Championship and almost beating the Oakland A’s in the World Series. This was big because Oakland and Cincinnati were the two Dynasties of the 1970's.
So many great things happened in the baseball 1970's decade that it would take all day to write them down. So for now.. Keep the flash-backs coming and the memories would stay in your heart
