Buck Knives Diamond Taper Sharpener – Product Review

This is a sharpener that is useful to have in the field, kitchen, garden, fishing, camping, in the shop, in the glove box and anywhere else you might sharpen a knife or tool. I keep them handy because they work. A dull knife is a dangerous knife. This little 600 grit diamond sharpener will quickly touch up a knife where you need it most, where you are using it. It does not require lubricant. It cleans up with soap and water. It easily sharpens serrated, curved or straight edges. Use light pressure to produce a sharp edge.

It can be carried in a pocket, pack, or tackle box. Whether you are cleaning a bunch of fish or dressing a deer, this sharpener will quickly sharpen your blade. Because it is light and easy to carry, you can keep it handy. Because it is round, it will follow a curved blade. It is tapered to sharpen any size serration. Once you have one, you will need another because they are so versatile and your friends will borrow it and keep it for themselves.

It is 7 ¼” long open and 4 5/8” closed. The handle pulls off and slides over the sharpener. You can pull the Diamond Taper Sharpener out of your pocket and be sharpening in about 5 seconds. It is that easy to use. I take three strokes on each side of the blade and test the knife. That is usually enough. Because it is so handy, I tend to use it more which keeps my knife from dulling. This inexpensive sharpener works!
