CUBS & Best Play in Baseball

Baseball and Patriotism the perfect combination!

The ability to grow up in a large city that supports a Major League team is not only exciting but, enriching.  Yeah the players get rich with great incomes, but they are still people like you and I.  Enriching for fans that can witness and relate to plays that make history, The Rick Monday play will send goose bumps and warm your heart with great appreciation for all that America stands for.

It is great to see people unite with pride and love for our country both individually, as team and local community, witnessed via the media throughout the world.

Have not been back to Chicago in 9+ years. I am glad there is a statue. I assume you visited Chicago via boat, lucky you! I hear now it is difficult to get tickets.

I noticed my comment came through twice. Hope I am still considered a newby, or would have the hang of comments by now. You must have been writing a long time. You are quite knowledgable, your hubs are excellent. I look forward to reading more.

I did see the game yes. You know, Ernie has a statue outside Wrigley now. Very cool. What a great guy he is. And what a player! I love Chicago. St. Joe is straight across Lake Michigan-50 miles by boat.

Not familiar with St. Joseph, but I hear it's cold up there! Talk about a walk in the past, Ernie Banks! I remember the day he retired and the Cubs gave him, if I remember a Cadilac. Ernie is still around you know. Did you catch the All Star game on TV last year? Great sport, great team, great town! My dad let me skip school for the Cubs season openers. I miss it much. Thanks for reading!

I remember that very well. I was watching on television when it happened. I am a big Cubs fan and have been since Santo to Kessinger to Beckert to Banks. I live in Florida now so I only see a few games a year in person but I have the MLB TV package. I hail from St. Joseph, Michigan if you have heard of that. Thanks for the memories.
