The Speigel Grove ship is enormous and larger than any natural reef structure in the Keys. In fact, at the time of its sinking, the Spiegle Grove was the largest ship ever intentionally sunk to create an artificial reef for divers, and it is still one of the largest ships or vessels ever scuttled ( sank ) for that purpose.
