RV Park and Campground Reviews: Treasure Lake RV Resort Branson MO, Mission RV Park Redlands CA, Saddle Mountain RV Park
My Personal Favorites
Welcome to the world of RVers !! This is the fun group of folks who spend a great deal of time, traveling coast to coast in their RV's or Motorhomes. Some are affectionately called snowbirds, living for part of the year in one state where the winters are less brutal and then moving to a cooler climate during the summer. If you are like me, my hubby and I travel in search of work. Some may call our lifestyle nomadic, but to us it is fun and exciting. Pulling an RV or motorhome with all the luxuries of home makes it all the more accommodating. Some people simply enjoy living in their campers because it is often cheaper to do so than to rent or purchase a home. It also has the added advantage of moving anytime you want to. Over the last few years as a full time RVer, we have stayed at a number of parks and resorts. Some naturally, we love more than others. Here is a little taste of what a few offer.
TREASURE LAKE RV RESORT
This is our personal favorite. Situated in Branson Missouri, Treasure Lake is a members only resort with all the bells and whistles. Membershipscan be sold, transferred or deeded. Treasure Lake RV resort can welcome you with its offering of 544 sites on 344 acres of land, comprising of four separate phases, both 30 and 50 amp service. It offers 24 hour security patrol. There is the convenience of on site, reasonably priced storage for your unit or golf cart, laundry facilities, cabin rentals, indoor and outdoor swimming pool, boasting the largest outdoor swimming pool in Branson. The property also provides for its members and associates, tennis and basketball courts, a nature trail for a bike ride, invigorating run or casual walk, and a miniature golf course. You can also purchase, on site, propane at the fuel station. Fishing permits for use at the resort can be purchased at the Welcome Center and there are two well populated, fishing ponds on the grounds for the fishing enthusiast. There is also a well stocked lending library, an RV store, movie theatre, member's lodge and cafeteria, to name just a few. Treasure Lake offers an array of activities including card games, karoake, children's activities, Fourth of July and Memorial Day celebrations. There is also a ticket office where you can purchase tickets, most at discounted rates for Treasure Lake members to the offering of shows in Branson. Whilst you stay at the resort, you are in close proximity to all that Branson has to offer, being walking distance from several restaurants, the Imax theatre and many shows and a mere five to ten minutes from the Branson Strip. Treasure Lake welcomes pets and is a disabled friendly resort. There are often special offers on memberships; (for current pricing you can visit tlresort.com or call (417) 334-1040 ext 2. The annual maintenance fee is also highly competitive.
A few words of advice:-
During the major holidays, there is the possibility of maximum occupancy. Be advised that Treasure Lake allows admittance on a first come, first served basis and strictly accepts no reservations for its RV and camping sites.
If you are planning a longer than 21 day stay, after purchasing your membership, remember that you are not permitted to stay on the same site. Members change sites after the first 21 days and then have to move to another phase after the next nine days. Take the time to read all the rules and regulations and if you are unsure of anything, the friendly staff at the Welcome Center are always willing and able to answer all your questions.
Treasure Lake accepts cash, checks and all major credit cards with the exception of American Express.
Treasure Lake offers a Work Camper program where a member works approximately 24 hours weekly and receives in return a waiver of the site rental fee. There are many Work Camper positions available. You can visit their website or call for further information.
Pay them a visit!
MISSION RV PARK
Situated on Redlands Blvd in the city of Redlands, California, Mission RV Park is one of the friendliest parks we have visited. The staff is phenomenal and the park and its facilities are very well maintained. It is exceptionally clean with paved sites and offers both 30 and 50 amp service. It's proximity to the Loma Linda University Hospital, in the city of Loma Linda, makes it the perfect location for persons seeking accommodation whilst receiving treatment there. If you have difficulty getting your RV on the site assigned, friendly staff will assist you with their fork-lift, free of charge. There is free WI-FI available for RVers !!

SADDLE MOUNTAIN RV PARK
Nestled in the sleepy town of Tonopah, Arizona, this beautiful resort has an abundance to offer at a very reasonable price. Saddle Mountain offers RV sites, to accommodate any size RV or motorhome, with both 30 and 50 amp service. If you really love the area and decide to settle there, they offer delightful park models, for rent or sale on the property. Short term and long term RV storage is also available at affordable prices. Run out of propane? No problem. Propane is available for sale, right on site. For those RVers who have campers without bathroom facilities, Saddle Mountain offers free restroom and showers for its residents. You do not have to leave the premises as there are coin operated washers and dryers for use at their laundry facility.
With hot breakfast served on weekend mornings for a nominal fee and a list of activities including arts and crafts, you will find your stay at Saddle Mountain anything but sleepy. There is a clubhouse and activity center if you wish to sit and relax, or if you prefer the outdoors, engage in a friendly game of shuffleboard, horseshoes, tennis, basketball or hit the putting green, right on the park grounds. On hot days, relax in the pool with friends or in the clubhouse with a cool beverage.
The grounds are well maintained with beautiful cacti and trees and sites are kept clean and inviting. The friendly staff is professional and helpful. With 24 hour security, you can be confident that your person and possessions will be safe. Security personnel can be seen driving around in their golf carts from time to time.
Saddle Mountain RV Park is a very pet friendly park. It offers one of the largest dog runs I have seen anywhere! Your furry friend, big or small, is welcome to enjoy the grounds, as long as he/she is leashed.
If you plan to have an extended stay and are concerned about mail services, you can purchase the use of a post box and have your mail forwarded directly to the park. In the event you need to mail packages or need postal supplies, the Tonopah Post office is just a few blocks away from the park.
There are no major supermarkets or shopping in Tonopah, but during your stay at Saddle Mountain RV Park, you can satisfy all your shopping and dining needs a mere twenty to thirty minutes away or head out to Phoenix AZ, 45 minutes.
Be aware that Arizona is brutally hot during the summer months !!!!!
