Two Dat?

The leaves are beginning to change, the weather is starting to cool down which can only mean one things, it's time for some football. With the National Football League kicking off tonight, the defending champs the New Orleans Saints are taking on the Minnesota Vikings in a Thursday night show down. Both teams are strong competitors. Tonight is going to be a game that has some personal history. After Minnesota Vikings fell short to make it to the Super Bowl, the Saints finished their quest to become Super Bowl champs. The Vikings are back for some vengeance. Will it be enough, or will the tough New Orleans Saints once again become victorious and send the Vikings home with their first lose of the season?

Drew Brees will lead his team the New Orleans Saints and the “Who Dat” nation into the Super Dome against the on again off again retiree Brett Farve and the Minnesota Vikings. There will be sweat. There will be blood. Saints fans are ready. They are ready to once again take their minds of a city dealing with another tragedy.

Shortly after the New Orleans Saints won the 2010 Super Bowl, the city of New Orleans and the rest of the Louisiana Gulf Coast would once again deal with tragedy. After a British Petroleum oil rig exploded, killing eleven people and filling the waters with millions of gallons of oil into the Gulf Of Mexico. With Louisiana's large fishing community, many lives once again are change dramatically. Drew Brees and the rest of the New Orleans Saints as well as volunteers and many hours of man power, quickly came to the rescue. Once again giving hope and strength to a community that needed it the most. After raffling off one of the New Orleans Saints Super Bowl rings and other contributions, there was a great amount of money made to help the recovery and coastline that needed help. The New Orleans Saints are truly saints when it comes to helping the city become a better and stronger city.

Let the show down begin. Lets kick this football season off the right way. Two very strong and competitive teams will give it all the have to start the season off with a bang. Can the Saints put together another terrific champion season, or will the Vikings finally get Brett Farve one last shot at a Super Bowl championship? It all begins tonight. Lets get ready for some football.

Being a New Orleans Saints fan for most of my life, there is no better way to open up the season with these two teams. I just hope the Saints can repeat victory and do what no team has done in a while and win back to back championships. Lets go boys, “Who Dat, Who Dat, Who Dat say they gonna beat dem Saints?”
