"Tiger and Turtle", Amazing Walking Roller Coaster

I don’t have much word to describe how this artwork so amazing. This time challenge you to try this. From outer appearance it looks like a roller coaster. Roller coasters are thrilling rides and a popular amusement ride developed for modern theme parks. Roller coasters have a system like a railroad with one or more vertical loops and turn the rider briefly upside down. Even if you’re not a big fan of this game, but you should try this if you visit Germany. Anyone can’t resist a chance to have fun on this roller coaster in the name of art.

Personally, this was huge art installation or a huge sculpture. Some people said that this is a towering sculpture. You don’t need to use a seat belt, but you just need to walk to enjoy how this art installation so wonderful. This art installation was designed by Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth. They called this "Tiger and Turtle - Magic Mountain".” Tiger and Turtle” is located near the German capital of culture, the city of Duisberg. This is fun and creative roller coaster to give visitors a thrill-ride in enjoying the best view of German countryside.

Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth

Two artists put their idea together to come up with this interesting design to attract public attention and they are totally works. They are known to German audience for their inventive installations such as the Auxiliary Construction (Dresden), the Theoretical Parquet, Fuzzy Dark Spot (Berlin), Prospects for public art (Dresden), Precarious Stand (Mexico City), Blind Date (Installation for an evening at the Kunstverein Hannover). The result is they didn’t disappoint this time either (for "Tiger and Turtle - Magic Mountain").

And at night the sculpture shines like an elegantly curved band in the sky. The design explains how the sculpture in the rise of artificial mountain changes its shape. Only if you climb over the curved arches of the installation of traffics, the impression of acceleration. "Tiger and Turtle" at night

This art installation was made out of zinc plated steel. It has thousands of LED lights that light up at night. LED lights line the 722 ft long coaster so visitors can explore the beauty of night and taking in the surrounding sights. Just for the information that LED lights illuminate the handrails at night. It stands nearly 280 ft above sea level. "Tiger and Turtle - Magic Mountain" has 249 steps that encourage visitors to walk along its track. It also has 220 metres long.

Heike Mutter and Ulrich Genth took about eight weeks to construct. This project cost about $2.7 million (It took nearly €2 million) and used 120 tons of galvanised steel ….wow amazing. It’s totally huge art installation. There’s a question, why do the designers choose tiger and turtle for the name of this art installation? Ulrich say that roller coaster is usually has high speed like a tiger, but the visitors has to explore it step by step like a turtle. The art installation will fit harmoniously into the landscape. "Tiger and Turtle - Magic Mountain" is the capital of culture as a landmark towering over the city.

Are you afraid of roller coasters? "Tiger and Turtle - Magic Mountain" art installation is a new way for one to experience a roller coaster without screams. The visitor climbs on foot via differently steep steps the roller coaster sculpture. The visitors are encouraged to climb on the top of the sculpture. They can walk around, up, and down along the track. For some aspects like the loops are simply for show (the section of the sculpture has blocked).
