6. Prowler Wooden Coaster - Worlds of Fun, Kansas City

The two-and-a-half minute high speed chase begins with the ride’s only feature above the trees’ cover, a swooping 85 foot plummet into a ravine. After the spiral plunge, the train rips through a seemingly endless amount of high speed hills and sharply banked turns that hug the wooded land below. With a top speed of 51 MPH, riders grasped in the clutches of prowler carve a path with powerful but smooth changes of direction, speed, and elevation.

7. Pilgrims Plunge - Holiday World, Santa Claus, Indiana

Pilgrims Plunge starts with a classic shoot-the-chutes ride and adds a modern lift. An open-air elevator to take you higher than any other water ride in the world! After swiftly rising to the top of the 135-foot tower in an open-air elevator, each boat will pause briefly before descending rapidly down the flume at a 45-degree angle, creating a dramatic splashdown.

8. Sasquatch drop tower - Six Flags Great Escape, Lake George, New York

Sasquatch is a legendary drop ride with two 19-story steel towers. You'll be shot to the top in less than three seconds. But it doesn't end there. Once you reach the highest point, you'll be rocketed downward with a 2 G-force before experiencing a series of aircushioned bounces up and down the tower.

9. Flying Turns - Knoebels, Elysburg, Pennsylvania

The Flying Turns is another Knoebels in-house project involving the re-creation of a classic ride popular in the early 20th century. The train rides in a trough with no further guide than the curved walls surrounding it. This ride is yet to open.

10. Creature From the Black Lagoon: The Musical - Universal Studios Hollywood, Los Angeles

With state-of-the-art stagecraft, acrobatic choreography and hilarious, toe-tapping music, the Creature will be brought to life in a story based on the original screenplay, updated to emphasize the element of romance and just a bit of comic relief. Original new music and dazzling production numbers will keep the attraction contemporary and lively.
