Preparing for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

Spectators at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will want to stay on Yas Island, where the racetrack is located. Abu Dhabi Grand Prix

And let's not forget about the big race! The 2013 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will begin at 17:00 local time on Sunday, November 3 at the Yas Marina Circuit Formula One track. Drivers will do 55 laps around a 5.5 km course for a total of 305 km.

Practice and qualifying rounds for the Sunday race will take place on Friday, November 1 and Saturday, November 2.

As of early September, seating is available in all areas but filling up fast in the North and West Grandstands as well as in the Formula 1 hospitality area.

Three-day tickets in the grandstands are 2080 AED and include access to music performances and other events all weekend.

Do not miss the Yasmin Circuit Festival! This month-long music festival will include many free concerts and other community events leading up to race day.

The race weekend concert series will kick off on October 31 with performances by some of the Middle East’s most popular recording artists.

Headliners include Jay-Z on November 1, Muse on November 2, and electronica legends Depeche Mode at the post-race party on November 3.

Attractions in Abu Dhabi

Those with a week or longer to spend in Abu Dhabi are encouraged to visit Abu Dhabi’s local attractions, some of which happen to be on Yas Island.
