   What do you think of the player suspensions related to the Saints' bounty scandal?
   
   The NFL has suspended several players throughout the league for their involvement with the bounty scandal. These suspensions are now affecting other teams because the players are no longer on the Saints. Are the suspensions fair or too harsh?

   This is not the 3rd century and it is certainly not the era of the Gladiators fighting in the   Roman Colosseum. This is football for crying out loud!  Football is a game and while it maybe a professional and serious game there are rules and I'm glad to see that NFL rules don't include "bounty hunting".These boneheads, who conspired to carry out this idiocy, deserve what they get. Like the old saying reminds us "don't do the crime if you can't do the time"!!!!  So as far as I'm concerned they can stop whining about getting caught and being suspended and take there punishment like the men they are suppose to be. There is nothing worse that a stupid, spoiled and self righteous professional athlete who believes he "deserves" special treatment that the rest of us mortals would not get . To that I say "suck it up buttercup...you earned it"

   Any punishment would be fair. To pay players to intentionally harm another human being is inhumane. To me, putting it in an everyday situation, thats like me going up to my brother and saying, "Hey, I'll give you $20 if you break that cashier's leg." Just because football is played physically doesn't mean its okay to try and injure someone. Who you are on the field and what you do on the field represents who you are outside the game as a person, and if a little bit of money is enough motivation for you to try and injure someone, then whats to say that they wouldn't be motivated the same way in real life? I think the punishment is just right. Its highly unprofessional and unethical.

   Roger Goodell shouldn't have suspended players like Jonathan Vilma without proof he was involved in the bounties. That being said, I agree to the fact that it is inhumane to pay to injure players in a sporting event.
