   This is simple. New ownership. They've changed everything else and it still don't work. You have to keep going up until you get rid of the problem. The team should be sold now!

   If Al Davis isn't going let go of control of the team anytime soon then there best bet at improvement is to hire some salary cap consultants.  There biggest problems are not a result of poor play or poor athletes as much as poor decisions. 
   
   Jamarcus Russell could one day be a good quarterback, although I doubt it, but drafting him 1st overall and signing him to a huge contract was clearly a bad decision.
   
   Why release Jeff Garcia? He was a better option and only due to make $1 million.
   
   They shouldn't have spent so much cap room on running backs.  They have Justin Fargas, Michael Bush, and Darren McFadden.  If you make better decisions in the draft you don't have to keep selecting at the same position.
   
   Darius Heyward-Bey could become a great player but he wasn't worthy of being the first wideout taken in the draft (see Jeremy Macling and Johnny Knox) and he certainly wasn't worthy of an unprecedented contract.

   Crash the plane on the way home from there latest road debacle. Who ever survives can still be on the team. Unless Russel survives then we have to kill him some other way.  Then sell the team and let some other owner pull us from the depth of NFL failures

   While Al Davis is in charge, they proably stay as a bad team.
   
   However they need to upgrade offensive line and get decent receivers, only thing they have in passing game, is a decent tight end. There ok at running back but I do have concerns over McFadden when it comes to him possible being injury prone.
   
   There defence is inconsistent but does have potential to bring a lot of heat on opposing quarterbacks, just see the game vs Eagles for prove. They have one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL (Asomugha). There defence is not great but its respectable, they just need to be more consistent.
   
   Its the offence thats the problem, no QB will have success with a poor receiving core. Oakland Raiders is one of the poorest in the NFL, thats the main issue and also at QB. New receivers, new qb , some new blood on the offensive and defensive line. Then raiders be a much better team, although I do have big question marks over the quality of coaches they have.

   Well something more is an issue overthere than players and coaches, Al Davis needs to get out of football. Randy Moss's career was in a downward spiral over there, Warren Sapp fell off the face of the world, Darren Mcfadden is close to becoming a bust, unless he gets lucky and they cut him, Jemarcus Russel could have been good, but got the Raider stench on him and now looks like he'll be out of the league after this season, Robert Gallery was supposed to be the best OL ever, Charles Woodsen may have been the best DB we ever saw had he never been drafted by them (look at what hes done in Green Bay in his 30's). shoot this topic just made me decide to do a hub about this. look for it in a few days.
