   Should Fabio Capello stay as the England Manager?
   
   After the shambles at the World Cup, should he really be allowed to stay as England Manager?

   Yes, why not. If he can't get the England team to play well, who can?
   
   I think the best thing to do is to get rid of all of the players. However I have the feeling that somehow Capello will be demonised, the players will remain blame free and we'll be left trying to fill a job that no-one wants.
   
   At least Capello wants to keep the job. The only way a decent manager would take on the position is if there are HUGE volumes of cash paid. Just like they had to do to get Capello in in the first place.
   
   The problem I fear, runs far deeper than the manager and the FA need to take some responsibility too. Hopefully this World Cup fiasco will see a huge reform in English football and we will emerge from this stronger and better as a result.

   Capello has nothing to do with the disastrous English showing. It has everything to do with the players. Capello is a brilliant coach with an excellent track record. The problem is the English superstars who think they know it all. Look at John Terry's gaffe -  telling the press that "We've got a meeting tonight to see where we went wrong. Everyone needs to get off their chest exactly how they're feeling. If it upsets him (Capello) or it upsets any player then so be it. If we feel that things need to be changed then everyone needs to voice their opinion. If that upsets him or any player then so what?" .... what arrogance! They simply differed and refused to follow Capello's instructions and they got what was coming. Kudos to Germany!

   I do not believe the England squad has the quality to compete with the top international teams in the world. Many will claim that the premiership is the best league in the world, this may be true in terms of revenue and worldwide appeal/viewing but I believe the best players in the world are playing outside the premiership.
   
   Capello has been very rigid with his team selection despite his claims he picks based on form and fitness. The 442 formation he sticks with leaves the team outnumbered in midfield. I also believe Capello needed to leave out Lampard or Gerrard, the team is imbalanced with both playing.
   
   The England manager needs to orchestrate a complete overhaul of the development of football players in England from the grass roots level upwards. This is going to take at least a decade to start seeing results from these endeavours.
   
   I do not believe Capello is the man to reinvent the wheel in terms of English talent development.

   I must say I believe that both manager and team are to blame for the fiasco. 
   
   The manager said he would not take unfit players, yet he took players who were not 100% fit and played them.  He also said he would take players who were on form, yet he played strikers who had not scored at club level for some time!
   
   However when on the pitch it is down to the players to perform and all said and done they did not look like the players we are used to seeing.  Maybe this is because they are more used to passing the ball to players from different nationalities and not fellow Englishmen.
   
   Something has got to be done to improve the level of English foothall and increase the number of English players playing at the top level, whether in the Premiership or another top league in Europe.

   I think getting rid of Fabio Capello only will not do any good to the  England team. The players are to be blamed for not playing to their standard. And also FA need to take some responsibility. Hope they will find a solution in time for the EURO 2012.
