   To be honest I dont know much about him except I have heard that he bats well in the State Game.  Ricky  Ponting is probable out for bothe physical & political reasosn.  Firstly he broke his finger in Adealide & again didnt knock up a big score in Melbourne.
   He is still regarded as the best captain around at the moment.  He has come under incredible criticism from all and sundry over his recent batting performances as well as the teams generally.
   Australia has not really replaced the trio of superstar players that retired a couple of seasons back.
   
   It will be interesting to see how Khawaja performs and Australia generally with Ponting in the Sydney Test.

   Khawaja has been a star for New South Wales and the Aussie selectors needed to blood him- in a sense he can come in without massive pressure as the Ashes are already retained by England

   In just his first relatively modest Test innings, Usman Khawaja has already done enough to show why he should bat above Ricky Ponting and Michael Clarke. I think he's BETTER than Ponting himself!
