Can't say I am too surprised, but he was such a threat when healthy. He was due a large salary this year and was released.

      Key words being "when healthy".

The last 2 years he kept having injuries. It;s a shame actually. He was so explosive catching the ball coming out of the backfield.

Very true Ron. Maybe a swap-a-roo should have  been done.

Yeah, can't say I'd be upset if he went to New England smile

It's a shame - but the Eagles are right to release him - they can't keep building around him only for him to keep getting injured - they have to bring in new young blood and get them some experience....

It was a wise choice! Brian Westbrook could noi have had anything better happen to him for safety reasons. The 2 concussion he already has sustained may have already had irreputable harm to his brain in te future as dementia could plague him later on. Yes he made the Eagles an exciting team to watch, but for his family and himself its a far better thing.
    P.S. As a Buccaneers fan I know we won't miss him !

he is great but those concussions are worrying he should retire for his health . He should go do television like everyone else.
