    1) Messi- Best player in the world, didn't perform at world cup but his goal scoring record in La Liga is amazing.

    2) Xavi- He is the greatest play-maker in the last 5 years and with out him Spain would have found it a lot harder to win the world cup.

    3) Iniesta- Again he is a consistent high performer for Barcelona and his performances at the world made him the best player there.

    4) Ronaldo- 43 goals in 45 games is an unbelievable record for anybody and he is a unbelievable talent.

5)Rooney- A unbelieveable season even with his injuries, at times he is unplayable.

From my point of view ,i think Andres Iniesta is should get it
1st :He's been at the top with FC Barcelona winning everything with them, then closing it off with the world cup & been the one who score the winning goal .He should get it.
The runner up is a tie with Xavi & Messi.Again i will give Xavi the edge because of the world cup he help won .
I would give Rodaldo the 4th then Higuain 5th reson the amount of goals they scored between the last season.
    1)Adres Iniesta
    2)Xavi
    3)Messi
    4)Ronaldo
    5)Higuain

    1. Messi, he's alone can change the result of the game.
    2. Xavi, Barcelona possession football won't work without his capability to possess the ball. When Barca beat Madrid 5-0, he's alone accomplished 300 passes.
    3. Iniesta, Great skill, the right man at the right time
    4. David Villa, the best finisher 2010.
    5. John Terry, still the best defender 2010

Regardless of who you pick none of the players can possibly be English and none can come from the English Premier League. With Spain winning the world cup, Inter winning the champions league and Barcelona playing the best football I have ever watched its hard to look beyond those 3 teams. Ronaldo has been in great form for Madrid but following his wandering performance in the derby with barca its really hard to give him the nod.
