It was a real barn burner in Montreal today as the Atlanta Thrashers defeated the Canadiens 4-3 in overtime at the Bell Center.

Rich Perverley opened the scoring for the Thrashers at 6:20 of the first period.  Tomas Plekanec tied it up at 17:56.

In the second period, Evander Kane scored a rather strange goal by stuffing the puck between the goal post and Carey Price's right pad.

At 10:25 of the period, P.K. Subban tied up at two.

With 15.3 seconds to go in the period, Thrasher's captain, Andrew Ladd scored to make it 3-2.

At 15:13 of the third period, Montreal captain, Brian Gionta tied the game at three and pushed the game into overtime.

Dustin Byfugien scored in overtime to give the Thrashers the road win.
