Hamilton is batting .402 and already has 18 home runs through 35 games, which ties the MLB record. He is leading the MLB in batting average, home runs, and RBI's. Do you believe he will break the regular season mark in home runs? Is he on his way to a triple crown?
Here's on his way to a new contract! Hamilton is in his contract year and has come out of the blocks quickly. Texas are getting more national TV times thanks to their last 2 seasons and his audience is getting bigger as a result for good reasons not bad. I think as long as he stays injury free, he has a chance but it is too early to say whether the triple crown is in his reach yet.
Hamilton is an amazing talent. If anyone can win the triple crown he would be the one. However, I don't think he will as he tends to get injured, which will hamper his home run and RBI totals.
That is a concern. He gets hurt a lot, but if he stays healthy, he has a great shot. He usually plays better during the middle and end of the season. With such a fast start, we may see some new records.

Josh Hamilton edged out Miguel Cabrera and Robinson Cano for the AL MVP. While you could argue that Cabrera had the better all around season, the success of the Texas Rangers is likely the key factor that rocketed Hamilton to the top.

Should a horse have to run all three legs of the Triple Crown?Yesterday's Belmont Stakes caused some controversy because 3 of the top finishers had not run the Derby or Preakness. This caused quite an outburst from California Chrome's owner that a horse should be required to run all three races. I...

Will American Pharoah win the Triple Crown? It's been 37 years (Affirmed, 1978) since we last witnessed a Triple Crown winner. American Pharoah seems able and willing to complete this feat but WILL he do it? Just recently we witnessed California Chrome fail last year and I'll Have...

I just read the story of Big Brown's defeat in the final leg of the Triple Crown. He finished dead last. The story says he had a 'quarter crack' in his front hoof, which wasn't even addressed until Friday, the day before the big race. They claim it was a 'non-issue'. On the...

Andruw Jones signed an $18 million contract with the L.A. Dodgers. What a bargain!Batting about .120 with 1 home run and 5 RBIs. Its gotten so bad that Joe Torre used Jones as a pinch-hit in the 9th inning last Wednesday, with the Dodgers losing, 12-0. Not a spot for a 5 time - All Star!
