Skin Care Products For Men

Are skin care products really necessary for men? According to dermatologists the answer is YES.Men have rougher skin than women and larger pores. So,a good face wash is definitely essential.Soaps and cleansers also do the job of cleaning the skin effectively.Vigorously towel drying does the work of exfoliating.Removal of dead cells and rejuvenating the skin can also be done using a sponge or mildly abrasive cleansing pad.

Once the skin is clean and dry, moisturizing creams and lotions can be used to smoothen  wrinkles and fine lines. Leading cosmetologists recommend the use of moisturizers that have alpha hydroxy acids as well as antioxidants in them.Antioxidants help slowdown aging of skin.It is even more beneficial to choose a moisturizer that has a sunscreen as well.It is wise o choose a moisturising lotion with SPF 15 that protects against both UVA and UVB rays.If you need to spend more time in the sun,You would need to choose one that has an SPF of 30 or higher.Skin cancer is prevented. In addition drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and wear a hat and sunglasses for a trendy look.

Shampoo And Hair Styling Products For Men

Shampoos do the job of removing oil and dirt from the hair.Men's shampoos are no different from that of women, save the macho looking bottles with macho sounding names and a male fragrance.

Conditioners do the perfect job of coating individual hairs making it look thicker and easier to comb through. Some conditioners contain emollients, which prevent drying and flaking of the scalp. The choice of shampoo and conditioner depends on the type of hair one has.

Some rules to bear in mind:

Dry/Thin Hair: Use a creamy shampoo to clean and restore moisture. A conditioner is essential to give it volume.

Oily Hair: Use a clear shampoo to remove exces oil. Avoid conditioner unless your hair is long to keep it from being tangled.

Coarse/Kinky Hair: Creamy shampoo is the best choice. Restoring oils is necessary for curly/coarse hair.

Dry/Flaky Scalp: Medicated dandruff shampoo is best used.

After shower,a man has a wide choice of hair styling products to pamper himself. Classic Pomades are making a comeback. Gels, creams, sprays are used to make your look extraordinaire'. But, mind you, keep it subtle.Use less of the products, don't overdo it or you will end up looking "made up".

Men's Shaving Products

Men have a problem wih their stubble. The first appearance of a man always gives you an impression of a macho image or something totally different and a large part of this perception comes from the fact that he sports a moustache, and if so,how thick or long. A day old stubble may make a man look sexy or haggard.Being bearded or not is welcomed by some and detested by others. It is all a matter of personal choice and of course, what looks good for one man may not necessarily be good for another. Sporting a goatee might be elegant for a few men while sporting braided long hair might be excellent for another. Some guys look great with a clean hairless face and head. Some like the clean shaven look. Experimenting for the right look and at different seasons of one's life is essential to keep the zing in ones's personality.

Shaving products are always part of conversations among new young men and the old. Most have problems finding the right products and several blogs are reviewing shaving products for men.

Razor burn is the biggest complaint of most men.Dermatologists advise washing your face with warm water to soften the skin and the blade is less likely then to scrape. Experiment with different kinds of razors and shaving creams and lotions before you settle for the ones that suit you best. Some prefer razors with multiple blades while others may think that the extra blades cause more nicks. The correct positioning of the blades is important.

After shave lotions are to close up the pores and contain alcohol which burns when applied. Find one that soothes instead. If you are blessed with curly hair, you may have a problem of ingrown facial hair. You are advised not to shave too close to avoid razor bumps which is more irritating than razor burn. An electric razor is better as it leaves slightly longer facial hair behind. Using an adjustable bead trimmer can be evn more benefical. Laser hair removal is the answer for some men.

All agree that men look their best in the minimal of grooming products used. Sometimes, even the natural look is best for most men.
