A Glimpse at Miss Universe 2010
Since 1951, Miss Universe pageant is considered to be the most beautiful day to celebrate. It is because all beautiful women from different countries gathered to vie for the prestigious title. .The whole month of August is concentrated with these official 83 delegates as they created awes, stirs, admiration and glamour at the fabulous 'city of light', Las Vegas. These beautiful girls busied themselves into the array of activities, like auctioning souvenir items for the benefit of cancer patients in the state of Nevada, attending functions sponsored by the Miss Universe Foundation.
"What is beauty, if the brain is empty?" This is the usual motto of every girl in the pageant. Online voting and media interviews revealed that this set of candidates really knew how to answer interviews, so, they gave judges a hard time choosing the early favorites, that included:
Miss Philippines, Miss Ireland, Miss Brazil, Miss Colombia, Miss Mexico, Miss Venezuela, Miss Russia, Miss Dominican Republic, Miss Costa Rica, Miss USA, Miss Haiti, Miss Puerto Rico and Miss Slovac Republic.
I've noticed the Latina domination is visible, but we never know the personal bets of telecast judges that involved almost all the members of American entertainment industry, with the prominent names of Jane Seymour, William Baldwin and my favorite Criss Angel (the illusionist and magician).
Personal argument: I'm just wondering why they didn't invited big names in fashion world or those beauty gurus from all over the world.

Different colors, nationalities and beauties with a common goal…83 gorgeous ladies vying for this year’s crown for Miss Universe 2010. I didn’t miss a single second on it. It’s almost 10 am here in the Philippines, around 8 pm in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA when NBC allowed ABS-CBN here in the country to show the live telecast of the pageant, much to the delight of the televiewers. - Miss Mexico - Judge No. 4 Ivan Lysacek, the Olympian figure skating gold medalist asked about the “necessity of having internet”.
