Acne Free: A How To Guide For Having Clear Skin

Everyone from time to time has a pimple, but for those people who suffer continuously from not being acne free it can be a nightmare. Your face is what people see first, so an acne sufferer commonly becomes ashamed or shies away from crowds from fear of embarrassment. Acne is very common and is treatable if you know the do’s and don’ts. In this article, I will share with you a few common causes of acne and some natural cures to help get you acne free skin.

Acne is very common for many people between the ages of 10 and 40. This condition can appear on your skin in several different ways such as whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, and cysts. Acne is caused by a number of things most commonly hormones, diet, and not having a solid facial regimen.

Acne Free vs. Hormonal Changes

Hormonal changes in your body are proven to be the number one cause of acne. Young teens begin seeing signs of acne at puberty, but some continue to suffer well into adulthood with acne. This is sometimes due to hormonal imbalances in the body. The increased hormones cause the sebaceous oil glands to grow larger and produce extra amounts of oil. This oil is then pushed through your pores and causes them to become clogged, leading to you having acne. For women, this is often a sign that their menstrual cycle is about to visit.

If you have a problem with monthly break outs due to hormonal changes a dermatologist can help. Consult with your dermatologist to find the best acne free treatment plan for you. This will sometimes include regulating your cycle with oral contraceptives or using medication as well as topical creams to reduce your flare ups.

Acne Free Diet

Diet is a very important key to getting and staying acne free, because food allergies cause some of the worst cases of acne. It also is a great addition to an acne free clear skin treatment If you usually see your pimples pop up after eating, try to narrow it down to what food caused your break out. Then try to avoid that type of food. If you cannot figure out what is causing your break outs, but think it is an allergic reaction, consider being tested for allergies.

Also, in order to have flawless skin you have to clean your body from the inside out. This means eliminating sugar, refined carbs, and caffeine. Diets high in fiber and low in fat often show a dramatic change in acne sufferers.

Another common cause of acne is bad digestion. Sometimes people that suffer from acne don’t absorb important nutrients properly which has been linked to a major cause of acne. Poor digestion should be remedied by eating a well balanced diet and supplements, not by taking antacids.

Finally, water is important for many tasks in the body. It cleanses your body of toxins and is very good for your skin. Lack of water can cause dehydration which can have adverse effects on your skin.

Acne Free Products

Having a good acne product to clean your face can help you get and stay acne free. We all know that washing your face is important to having healthy skin. It’s recommended by dermatologists that you gently wash your face twice a day, but any old soap won’t do. Since flare ups are caused by bacteria under the skin, it’s important to use an antibacterial soap made especially for your skin type to help fight off bacteria. When washing your face it’s important not to scrub. Scrubbing will only lead to more irritation and possibly more break outs.

Using a good topical cream with benzoyl peroxide can help dramatically reduce flare ups with acne. If you decide on using one of these creams it’s important to be protected by the sun as the peroxide makes you more vulnerable to burning.

Acne Free The Natural Way

Aloe Vera has many anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects on the skin. Also, if you use Aloe Vera internally it can help to clean up toxins in your body which will also help to clear your skin of acne. Simply break off a piece of aloe from the rest of the plant and rub the gel onto your problem areas and you’ll be acne free in days.

Used for many years, acne apple cider vinegar and lemon juice has a reputation for clearing up acne in just a few days. To try it yourself, first clean your face with your regular facial soap and then apply either the lemon juice or the apple cider to the affected area. The remedy works to kill bacteria, remove extra oil, and keep your skin looking flawless. Use this remedy like you would any astringent and you should be acne free in 3 days or so.

Another natural cure is found in using tea tree oil. Tea tree oil is oil found in the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia tree in Australia. This oil is very effective when used against the bacteria found in acne. Tea Tree Oil will either clear up the acne completely or weaken the bacteria so your body can take care of the rest naturally.

Finally, supplements to your diet can also reduce the frequency of acne breakouts. There is proven evidence that links vitamin and mineral deficiencies to frequent acne breakouts. Adding supplements like zinc, acidophilus, vitamin A, and vitamin E to you daily regimen can help you have flawless skin.

In conclusion, if you are one of the lucky people and only occasionally get a pimple, then upping your facial regimen should be enough for you, but if you are a continuous sufferer of acne, using one of the above natural remedies may help you to become and stay acne free. There is life outside of these ugly blemishes if you educate yourself on what causes acne and find a good facial regimen that works for your skin. You too can have beautiful acne free skin!

This is a great read for acne fighting.

Acne has many more deeper reasons, which you have covered here, such as hormonal changes. We may not be able to do much about such factors, but we can try our best to do the things we can do (e.g. drinking water to flush out the system, cleaning the skin topically) in order to prevent acne.
