Affinitas Intimates Julia Thong | Hope's Panty Pick
I picked these panties as my very first daily panty pick for several super reasons. The first of these reasons is the pretty blue color that you don't see much in lingerie. Strangely, although plenty of people claim blue as their favorite color, lingerie manufacturers insist that what they really want is beige, white or black. Black I can understand for its slimming effects and the fact that it will look clean-ish for years to come, white or beige, not so much, white is a disaster color for panties especially.
Secondly, I also adore the ruffles around the thighs that are simultaneously not too much and not too little. You won't look as if your backside has sprouted wings and is about to take off into the heavens, but there is still a lovely feminine flounce to the garment that is sure to be flattering for all body types. The ruffles continue around the back of the panty to create a ruffled frame for your derriere, and there is not a derriere on the planet that cannot be improved by adorning it with pretty blue ruffles, at least, that's what I always say.
Thirdly, note the sheen and shine on these panties. Comprised of 94% polyester and 6% spandex, you get a wonderful stretch, shine and soft feel that can only be achieved through the blending of man made fibers.
The only marked downside to this panty, (and it could even be considered an upside if you're into that sort of thing,) is that it is a thong. From the front it looks as if you'll be getting full coverage, but the back side tells a very different story. For women of course, wearing a thong is the equivalent of asking for a UTI, as bacteria from your butt travels along the sweat coated superhighway of the thong material and ends up where bacteria should never be. For men however, thongs pose little to no health risk whatsoever. There's a pretty strong argument to be made for moving thong panties to the men's side of the lingerie store for this reason.
Finally, back to a positive note, these panties also come with a matching bustier, which makes a change from your typical bra and panty sets and also looks incredibly pretty. The bustier is designed not with the typical straight lines traveling from bust to waist, but with delightfully curved lines that create a lovely 1920's art deco vibe.
The 'Julia' thong and bustier set is the perfect lingerie opportunity to transform your body into a shiny retro work of art, and look good doing it.
