Beauty Tips: Natural, Homemade Face Scrubs.

Updated on January 30, 2020

Easy made face scrubs with natural ingredients found in our kitchens!

Every woman that respects and takes care of her self, knows that scrubbing is a "must" when trying to have a beautiful skin. Here are some of the best homemade scrubs I have come up and have personally tested! I think you will love them!!!

Enjoy!

Tip: Before applying any scrub mask, one must thoroughly clean the face with a cleanser. All Scrub masks apply to slightly wet skin.

Baking Soda Scrub :

Ingredients

  • 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda
  • small amount of water

Preparation: All you have to do is mix the baking soda with the water until it becomes a paste. Apply to your face with gentle circular movements and rinse off with warm water followed by a warm cloth.

Tip: You can also use cornmeal instead of the baking soda with the same way.

--- The procedure is identical for all the following face scrubs.---

Milk and Honey Scrub:

Ingredients :

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon grounded almonds
  • 1 tablespoon milk (cream for dry skin, 2% fat for normal or combination skin and skim for oily skin)

Banana Scrub (ideal for sensitive skin types)

Ingredients :

  • 2 tablespoons mashed banana
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats

Honey Sugar Scrub

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon sugar (both white and brown will do!)

Tip: Rinse off well as this scrub could be a bit sticky.

Tomato and Sugar Face Scrub:

Ingredients :

  • 1 fresh tomato
  • brown sugar

Tip: This one is done a bit differently that the above mentioned masks. Take a quarter of a tomato and dip it in the sugar. Rub your face gently in circular moves avoiding the eye area and leave for 5 minutes.

Take a clean tomato quarter (without dipping it in sugar this time) and massage your face with it until it is covered with tomato juice. Let it dry for a few minutes and then rinse off with warm water.

Pumpkin, Sugar & Spice Scrub

Ingredients :

  • 1/2 cup of pureed cooked or canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Tip: Can work greatly as a body scrub too!

Sugar Scrub:

ingredients :

  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 drop of vanilla extract (can omit if you want)

Oatmeal and Chamomile Face Scrub:

Ingredients :

  • 4 tablespoons of oat
  • 2 tablespoons grounded almonds
  • 1 tablespoon grounded chamomile flower
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons plain (not flavored) yogurt

Tip: After you mix all the ingredients in a food processor , rub your face gently and leave on for about 20 minutes.

Honey, lemon and Almond Face Scrub:

Ingredients :

  • 1 tablespoon dark honey
  • 2 tablespoons of grounded almonds (as finely as possible)
  • 1/2 teaspoon of lemon juice

Sea salt and Olive Oil Face Scrub

Ingredients :

  • 2 tablespoons sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

Tip: If you replace olive oil and add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice, you can make a perfect scrub for oily skin types

Avocado, Honey and Oatmeal Face Scrub (for oily skin types)

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons grounded oatmeal
  • 1 teaspoon avocado
  • 1 teaspoon honey

Oatmeal, Sea Salt and Olive Oil Scrub (for skins with acne)

Ingredients :

  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tablespoons of oatmeal
  • 1 tablespoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

Tip: Massage for about 3 minutes and then rinse off with warm water. The sea salt will help to reduce the acne inflammations while the other ingredients will help in exfoliation and moisturise your skin.

Remember : Always keep in mind to apply your usual moisturiser afterwards. Once or twice a week is enough for face scrubbing in order to avoid too irritated skin.
