Best Beauty Gurus on YouTube
After watching many tutorials and reviews on YouTube, I've come up with this list of the best Beauty Gurus that I have come to watch on a regular basis. They are all honest, entertaining and enjoyable to watch.
Listed in no particular order.
Emily Eddington- emilynoel83
Emily is a news reporter and beauty guru. The reporter in her shines through in her videos as she gives you all the information you need to know about a product without getting distracted and rambling on about other things. She edits her videos in a way that makes it feel like you’re watching the news, but about beauty products. She has uploaded more than 600 videos on her channel, some of which are called “Em’s World” which are vlogs about her day-to-day life. Emily is one of the best gurus on Youtube because she is consistently uploading videos (2-3/week) and is thorough in her reviews and tutorials.
Tiffany D- makeupbytiffanyd
Tiffany is a makeup artist and guru on Youtube. She has made some videos for Sigma (a brush company) and is often associated with their brand (she uses Sigmas brushes in many of her tutorials). Tiffany has mentioned that she used to be a school teacher, and it is clear from her tutorials that she has taught before. She is very good at giving clear directions and also sharing tips that she has learned. Tiffany also has another channel that is dedicated to everything other than makeup. On her other channel, she posts videos about home decor, travelling and vlogs.
Greg is a beauty guru on YouTube who is very confident in himself and isn’t afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He is very entertaining to watch and will definitely brighten up your day. He loves trying out new products and shares them with his audience in his videos. He has shared some of his personal experiences with his viewers and as a result, has shown to be an inspirational person. Greg is an honest person and is open to answering any questions that his viewers may have. He isn’t afraid to express himself and he is someone who accepts everyone. Greg’s tutorials are detailed and thorough and you can tell that he has fun doing them.
Marlena from MakeupGeek has her own business under the same name. It is dedicated to creating an online community of makeup lovers so that they can share new products and tips with each other. She also has an online store on her website that sells products from brands that she uses in her tutorials. She is also in the process of launching her own makeup line which will be sold in her store. Marlena is a good teacher and is very detailed in her videos. She makes sure to mention that the products in her video aren’t necessarily the ones you need to use to recreate the look. Oftentimes, she will simply mention the colour or type of product that you can use so that you can use what you already have. Marlena is down-to-earth and you can tell from her videos that she loves what she is doing.
Kandee Johnson- kandeejohnson
Kandee is a celebrity makeup artist who is always wearing a smile. She is an inspirational person who has shared her personal story on YouTube and encourages her audience to stay positive no matter what. Her tutorials are often very elaborate, especially around Halloween. You can tell that she has a lot of fun making her videos because she is always laughing and smiling. She also posts hair tutorials and beauty tips and tricks.
Wayne Goss- Gossmakeupartist
Wayne is a makeup artist that likes to keep his videos short. He does this because he likes getting straight to the point so that his viewers only get the information that they need or are looking for. He posts videos about beauty questions that are often asked, as well as product reviews. Sometimes he is brutally honest about a product, which sometimes can be a negative review. This is good because it helps his audience know which products are not worth their money. Wayne sticks to products that he likes because he knows they work, but if he comes across something better, he is sure to point it out. He is someone who knows what he is doing and is honest no matter what.
