Best Korean Etude House Cosmetic Products
Etude House is a popular brand of Korean Cosmetics. The brand has a "cutesy" feel full of pink, white and other girly colors. Around Korea and some other Asian counties, the shops are available in malls. The shops are filled with adorable packaging, cute accessories and a whole lot more that appeals to young females. However, the brand isn't just about being cute - the products are high quality and really work! Even if you're not young in age you can still adore these products if you're young at heart.
BB Magic Cream
The original BB Magic cream! You've probably seen the banner ads for an American "magic BB" but obviously it is an imitation. The original Etude House product is one that is tried and true and actually works wonders! If you have a light or medium skintone, this product might work fantastically for you. If you are a dark skin tone, no Korean product will match, but you can still enjoy other products.
A BB cream is an all-in-one product: concealer, moisturizer, primer and makeup in one. You just apply it and go! Though, usually you will not be able to cover dark circles or heavy blemishes with the product, so you'll need to use a separate concealer for problem areas. This cream is very lightweight. It comes in two varieties, one for normal skin and one for oily skin.
This is a stick which you use to cover up your pores. All you do is open it, twist, and apply the stick to the problem areas. After you use it, apply your regular makeup and you're good to go! This is a cute product in an adorable package. The name is also super catchy, so who could pass it up? The good thing is it is also relatively cheap - about $10 for a stick - and it lasts a very long time. If you have a problem with enlarged pores, this might be a product worth checking out.
Nail kits which come with 3 separate colors which can be used to grate a "gradation" effects, or gradient, if you prefer. The colors allow you to create subtle color variations on each nail which fade into each other. I own 4 of these kits and each one is really cool, but a few of the colors are more subtle than others. If you don't want huge chunks of glitter on the tips of your nails and want a more subtle effect, go with the orange or purple set - Love Violet or Screwdriver. However, each set is really cool and I recommend them all. If you're not big into nail art but want to do something easy and different, this is the set for you!
Missing U Hand Cream
This hand cream comes in small pots, which are shaped after several endangered species of animals. The cream is to raise awareness about the animals such as pandas and seals. So, not only does it have a great meaning behind it, it is also super cute! The Missing U hand cream comes in a variety of scents. Each animal represents a different scent. This product makes a great gift for just about anyone as each pot comes in a little brown gift box.
Where to Buy
If you don't live in Asia, you'll probably have a hard time finding these products anywhere. If you live in LA, try looking in an Asian mall. If not, you'll probably need to find these products online. The best source is eBay. I purchase all my Korean cosmetic products there. One thing to note: purchase from a Korean seller with high feedback. Never purchase from a seller in Hong Kong or anywhere else in China. If you do, there is a chance the products may be bootleg/fakes. Always purchase from a seller in the proper country to ensure you get real, genuine products.
